Doing some thinking today about how a few liberals made a college close to where I grew up change their name.

The name was the University of Miami Redskins in Ohio.

They became the Redhawks because Redskins is off course to offensive.

I searched trademarks and found the name Washington Redhawks was trademarked by a guy in D.C. Back in Febuarary.

Is somebody looking to get rich off this? Who is this guy? Any close ties to Dan Snyder or the Redskins? Any involvement in the protesting for the name change?

As I said before, Mr. Snyder is playing this for his advantage:

'The side story is that DC wants the 'Redskins' to move back to DC. The FBI wants to move out of their old building.
This is all just to get the deal done. Break lease in Md of current stadium, change name, move stadium, relocate FBI to Md. All done.

I call BS on the whole name controversy. I say Dan Snyder is behind it. New city, New name, and all the fans need to Re-buy jackets, Hats, and shirts.

I saw something on Drudge that said a friend of Snyder's has trademarked 'Washington Bravehearts' as a name for a sports team, possibly football.

Personally I really like the name but am dead set against changing. I'm sick and tired of the whiny left always winning these damn things!

It’s currently rejected for being confusing with the Seattle University Redhawks.
