Critics of Obama's healthcare plan are suing over a part of the law that offers tax credits through state exchanges. If they win, the program falls apart in 36 states.

All we had to do was subsidize the emergency rooms, which were bankrupting the hospitals and getting closed.
But nobody asked me.
Also, if 18 percent of the country is tea party, as Congress recently told us, then some of those almost have to come from the moderate segment (supporting what you said).
When you subsidize something you get more of it, I mean seriously, do we need a nation full of ER’s?

I think you were joking, but it would have to be a better system than the ER system we have now. We just didn’t need this Chutes and Ladders monster game with its metastasizing rule book. Simpler would have been so much better.

Yeah, that's what the GHWB and other moderate candidates said in 1980 about Reagan. A leader, a real leader who is articulate, converts those "moderate" voters to his way of thinking. Just like the economy, voters' attitudes are not static, and a static analysis is doomed. If you don't want to convince voters that your principles are correct, then you are the worst sort of Quisling.

I don’t subscribe to the ‘moderate’ view of anything, but if you’re asking what’s wrong with our health care system, the answer is: a lot. A HUGE lot. Mostly not in the care itself, but rather in how that care is paid for and billed. Obamacare didn’t do a damn thing about any of these systemic problems. All it did was force people to participate in the train wreck.

But that is exactly what progressive tax systems such as the income tax and the so-called loop holes do. However this is a step beyond, and so may very well invoke the equal protection clause. Don’t hold your breath though.
I would be suprised if the Supreme Court did anything to over rule the Administrations propensity to rule by Regulatory Degree, and a stroke of the pen.
It appears that you are assuming the Independents are moderate. I am one of those Independents, but I am not a moderate at all.
Not unless you define moderate as being a believer in the Constitutional Republic form of government set up by the founders, where most issues are up to the states, and not the over reaching Federal Government which trys to boot strap everything to the commerce clause and/or the general welfare.
Just sayin the polls don’t tell the whole story.
