MIAMI (Reuters) - The 2013 Atlantic hurricane season looks set to go down as a big washout, marking the first time in 45 years that the strongest storm to form was just a minor Category 1 hurricane.
There could still be a late surprise in the June 1-November 30 season, since the cyclone that mushroomed into Superstorm Sandy was just revving up at this time last year.
But so far, at least, it has been one of the weakest seasons since modern record-keeping began about half a century ago, U.S. weather experts say. Apart from Tropical Storm Andrea, which soaked Florida after moving ashore in the Panhandle in June, none of this year's cyclones has made a U.S. landfall.

“Atlantic hurricane season quietest in 45 years, experts say”
Damn you global warming, damn you to hell!
Bush’s fault
Micheal Mann, Ben Santer, Kenneth Trenberth and ManBearPig on death watch.
Al’s Gerbil worming...
Maybe our kids will have Halloween this year; they were robbed of the last two (due to Hurricane Sandy last year and a freak snowfall two years ago that downed a lot of power lines). Lots of kids will be getting 3 year old candy...white chocolate bars and all!
I still remember Halloween 1991 featuring the "Perfect Storm" which led to the book and movie.
Also, many leaves fall on the ground this time of year and they must be raked. I shall rake them.
"Quietest in 45 years"????? Thats CHANGE!!!! CLIMATE CHANGE!!!!!!!1!!1!!! :(((((((((

Going Goetze has a whole new meaning! LOL!
So whaddya suggest we do? LOL!
We had lots of rain in Florida this year, and that seems to be the trick to avoiding lots of hurricanes.
We WILL be stopping by to rake up some of those caramel creams. We don’t know where you live but we’ll sniff ‘em out. I might even supply some matches to start a nice warming fire using your leaves. LOL!
Nice; we were never allowed to eat them when we were little (because they could be tampered with and re-wrapped). One fellow a couple of years older than me was home with his brothers on Halloween (the parents had gone out) and they had no candy. They started toasting bread and giving it out, and the following morning when the parents returned their lawn was covered with discarded toast...
I’ve seen similar things years ago when people would give out sandwich bags filled with home-made popcorn; I guess a lot of other kids also weren’t going to be allowed to eat it...
I’m expecting some really cold air to hit FL this winter. Expect many reptiles to die off like they did a few years ago.
If its so queit, the {{{environment}}} must B brokin!!!!
So we should do the rational thing......PANIC!!!!!11!1!
