Mohammed Mahmoud Omar Mefleh, 34, and Antoine Clela, 31, were charged with enticement of a child and harassment.
The victim told police she was playing with a sibling in her yard when Mefleh and Clela approached her several times and tried to lure her into their vehicle. She told officers they kept asking for sexual favors.
The suspects are with a foreign military in a middle eastern country and are part of a training mission at Fort Leonard Wood, just a couple miles from where the attempted abduction took place.

*cough* Al Qaeda *cough*
When they come here for FMS training, they are covered by a training LOA, and in the LOA terms and conditions they are required to obey US laws and subject to US penalties. They have no immunities.
In government service, yes, but not in the military unless they are well connected politically. Rank means nothing in their military, only political connections.
They are likely well connected because they are here in the US. Also it is likely they have no connection to the training being conducted, as they cycle “your turn, my turn” scheduling to the states. . .regardless of the type of training.
A paid trip to the states where they receive “training” but are not required to perform in that capacity when they return. Normal-normal.
Meaning they are not under immunity or diplomatic protections.
Meanwhile the rest of the base are told that Christians and TEA Partiers are the bad guys
Don’t be too worried about that.
They are third-world muslimes. . .meaning they never really learn the subject matter or become proficient, as this sort of military training is a “perk,” a way to get a paid trip the states. No skills are actually achieved or retained, nor are they expected to return to Saudi and actually do the job.
It is a fact, they remain third-world even though they sit through first world training.
Probably not. The US hosts a lot of foreign military personnel from hither and yon. Their military vets them, then the Pentagon vets the heck out of them, and has since the 1980s.
Most are from NATO countries, but at least there used to be a lot of Egyptians, essential for the Bright Star maneuvers in Egypt every few years, as well as Jordanians, South Koreans, Australians, etc., etc. When the Soviet Union fell, they were probably up to their eyebrows with eastern Europeans, desperate to make US friendships.
This has paid off as well. Both Iran and Afghanistan have at times been filled with friendly nations wanting in on a major US operation.
I just ate breakfast. Why do I come on here? Mind boggling.
I guess the SPLC didn’t identify them.
Yes, I would say that was a good guess
I live here.
This happened a few miles away from Fort Leonard Wood, right outside St. Robert, at a small trailer court on Route 66 which unlike a lot of trailer courts is actually rather nicely maintained and has only about a half-dozen trailers, mostly people who have lived there a long time.
This community is about two and a half to three hours away from St. Louis, depending on where in St. Louis people want to go.
One is Jordanian and the other is Lebanese, by the way, not Saudi.

Don't get me started on that. Believe it or not, the police interrogated these guys in the Big Louie's parking lot.
