The funny bit is Cruz has a very good chance of sinking the RINOS on the SS Donkey.

Obama must be demonized Saul Alinsky style.

I completely agree.

Use the system to destroy the system.

“NO DELAY.

It’s the law of the land. (as they call it)

Obama shut the government down in order to fend off a Republican delay.

Let him start the fines for not being able to purchase crap nobody wanted to buy anyway.”

THEY OWN IT.

That is more or less what my idea of schadenfreude is. I hope Republicans take your advice.

Putin got out in front of Obama and stopped a war. Yes, it can be done, as long as “leaders” are not programmed to surrender.

I completely agree with your brilliant analysis, but sadly it is doomed to fail. That’s because you are asking GOPer Dopers to show some courage and act in an aggressive manner. But the GOP establishment only gets their blood boiling when they want to confront Ted Cruz and the Tea Party. I’ve recently been reading a few books on the Civil War. I finished reading a biography on Gen. Stonewall Jackson. The Confederate Army enjoyed success when they had cowardly generals leading the Union Army or they confronted aggressive but stupid generals whe fell for their traps. Now when I look at the GOP Establishment, I keep thinking about Gen. McClellan. He had an army of brave fighters, but he himself was a coward and always looked for excuses not to engage his troops into battle. He was so notorious that Southern Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson world prepare battle plans assumming Gen. McClellan would not attack them. They had won many battle with this strategy, but one day Gen. McClellan made a surprise attack on the Virginia Army and nearly destroyed the Virginia Army, but of course he failed by not finishing them off. However, Boehner and McConnell are more cowadly than Gen. McClellan, so all hope is lost for the future of the Republican Party.

Obama will personally pull the plug on the Individual Mandate for one year because to allow the congress to do so makes his delay of the Employer Mandate seem even more illegitimate. So Rubio won’t get it done.

there IS another “trap”

There are at least three different Court cases pending, which question the very authority of the “Federal Exchanges” to grant any tax credit or subsidy, or for the government to charge any penalty in Federal Exchange States.

Any “fix” at this time will try to sneak in language to FIX the points that plaintiffs have pointed out are wrong with the current law, in Court Rooms across the Country.

The irony is that for months, folks in government (even the self-blinkered apologists in the Administration who heard but refused to see) knew that SS Obamacare had struck an iceberg and was taking on water. House Republicans funded the government and offered them an honorable, face-saving escape by delaying the individual mandate fines and asking that everyone in Congress be required to join. Obama, Senate Dems, and plenty of RINO’s spat in their faces and...we are where we are.

Point: They were in front BEFORE there was Schadenfreude to enjoy!

You seem to be arguing for Legislation by the Republicans.

How do we get that thru the Senate and signed by the President.

For mow the Pubblies need to be quiet and get united...and (Hard as it is ) let the Media feast om the reporting of the problems.

AT the moment it seems that Obama is only willing to do a 6 week delay.

There are back end problems...so they will not be fixed by then.

And I believe they must be fixed to complete the enrollment.

Obama is so stubborn that if the republicans keep pushing to delay the individual mandate he will probably continue to refuse. After the humiliation Putin put on him he does not want to appear weak again.

If he continues to insist and the website continues to be a mess, he will look weak and stupid.

He has painted himself into a corner, once again.

Like your analysis, but realize that the rules have changed. This is not traditional America. We are how an entitlement junkie based electorate which is being spurred on by a left leaning media. The hard working providers are becoming fewer, and are getting disilluisoned.

I won't begin pretend to know how this will end, but it won't be pretty.
