You have no idea how hard it is for a Republican to get a message to the public. The mainstream media works overtime to prevent the dissemination of conservative ideas. Our real enemy is the mainstream media.
I absolutely have some idea. I also have some idea that if the Speaker of the House called a press conference in the middle of a big budget battle/government shutdown, he’d get one.
Of course he'd get a press conference.
The problem is...the press reports a few words, then they move on. Calling a press conference is no guarantee you can get coverage. And if a conservative press conference is covered, it is often followed by a panel of liberal media who lies about everything that was said.
Our #1 enemy is the MSM. You aren't going to win by trying to get your message through them.
