When I was four years old we moved from the country to Panama City, FL. On Halloween afternoon I was playing in front of our house and a guy came by wearing a gruesome looking mask. Then a few minutes later another guy did.
That night my older brothers took me trick or treating. We had no costumes just sacks. Pretty soon all the kids had exchanged info and we knew where the best candy was. Some people were just giving out crackers.
I remember my favorite was someone had made popcorn balls and they were really good.
Vivid memories both of childhood and moving to the city.
