The gov't shutdown was the last nail in the coffin for Cuccinelli. It looks like the whole GOP ticket will be defeated. This is a black eye for the conservative movement as all three candidates for statewide offices were chosen by the activist base at a convention.

Only as much of a black eye as Christine O’Donnell. In the end, Virginia has just become a blue state. That simple.

Looks like Sarvis’ support collapsed and they went into the Terry camp.

if there really is a 17% spread, why is Bloomberg dropping $1M this week?

I'm calling BS. cuccinelli may lose, but there is something missing from the metrics here.

Sadly, people should have more intelligence. Where is the Republican party on the offense? Absent. If not for the rebellion over this shutdown, people would know Obamacare is crap BUT NOT associate it with Obama or the Democrats. I firmly believe this. Now that a stand was clearly made, it will not credibly be blamed on Republicans. Too bad because the Republicans readily submit themselves for punching bags on everything else. I hope this poll is wrong. It would be wonderful for McCaulife to get his white *ss sent back to wherever he came from.

Uhg, but probably true. I think I'm going to be sick.

It's possible the GOP will recover if Obamacare continues to fail AND the shutdown is framed as an effort by Republicans to mitigate the failure of the health care law.

I don’t believe this poll. I’m not seeing this on the ground. We need to mobilize. Where are the GOP? Where is the Tea Party? This is not the time to retreat. Its time to fight.

Northern VA is a suburb of DC. Nothing more than voting themselves access to the fed’s largess.

Yes, it is a black eye for the conservative movement. I agree. And who gave the conservative movement that black eye? The Liberal Media? NOPE. The democrats? NOPE. The Obama administration? NOPE.

When you have "representatives" of the republican party such as McCain and King going on CNN, cBS, NBC referring to the shutdown as the GOP controlled House shutdown it's almost impossible to change the minds of the American people. I mean, if part of the party concedes responsibility while nobody on the democrat side blames themselves - it's going to be hard to change the national consensus.

The real enemy are the RINOs that attacked Ted Cruz and the Tea Party. If I were a non- tea party republican I would not be able to condone such a dishonest act. McCain, Graham, King could only do such as thing if they dislike conservative republicans in their own party more than they dislike the most leftists of the democrat left.

These RINOs need to go by being primaried. If they win the primary, the Tea Party candidate needs to run against them as an independent. We need to rid ourselves of "republicans" who aid the democrats by attacking conservatives within their own party. They are MORE dangerous to the republican party than democrats could even think of being.

The conservatives will lose that black eye after they give the RINOs a black eye back

Yep, it came at a real bad time for VA a purple state near DC.

Shutdown was even MORE toxic here in Maryland than VA.
Libs will be dancing ‘I told you so’, at least this year anyway.

I heard Rush replay this weekend where he wispfully imagines 47 Cruz's in Senate(So Which are the 3 no-Cruz states Rush???) , as if Cruz is a Senator of a blue state.
Such is the simplicity of the talk radio show world.

Texas voters are not the same as VA voters,

More proof that the country has lost its mind and is going socialist. Amerika will be totally commie in the next two or three election cycles. The House is the only thing that is stopping them from their agenda of total gun control, homo lifestyles for all of us, outlawing of conservative web sites, political parties, news sites, outlawing the Church. It is coming. The Antichrist is coming and he might be from Kenya.

Virginia Governor: McAuliffe (D) 50%, Cuccinelli (R) 33%, Sarvis (L) 8%

You can clearly see that if not for those damn Liberaltarians, conservatives would... lose!

Sadly as big government has grown soooooooooooo big, VA has transformed from being a solidly conservative southern state to a solidy blue northern liberal state.

I read that Cuccinelli is a RINO, and has hired a McCain advisor and was critical of Cruz.

All of Northern Virginia is now populated with Democrats who work in DC & owe their huge paychecks to the government. Libertarians will make sure the country stays in Obama’s pocket.

Cuccinelli is one of the leaders of the Republican War on Women™.

This fraud is a much bigger problem than I ever imagined it would be when Stephanopoulous kicked it off in the January 2012 debate.

It took down Aiken, and Mourdock, and now it’s taking down Cuccinelli.

I’m not sure how to fight back, but somebody better figure it out, and soon.
