Rasmussen poll gives McAuliffe a 17-point lead over Cuccinelli

A poll released Tuesday suggests Democrat Terry McAuliffe has pulled away in the campaign for Virginia governor, opening a 17-point lead against Republican Attorney General Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II two weeks from Election Day.

The poll, conducted by Rasmussen Reports, has Mr. McAuliffe ahead 50-33 — by far the largest margin of any poll thus far in the race.

The survey of 1,000 likely voters has a 3 percentage point margin of error. It was conducted Sunday, a day after former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton campaigned with Mr. McAuliffe in Falls Church.

The results come after Rasmussen last month had Mr. McAuliffe with a 6 percentage point lead, 44 percent to 38 percent, over Mr. Cuccinelli. That poll was conducted before the two-week federal government shutdown, which other surveys have suggested had a disproportionately negative effect on Republicans.

“Our Republic is dead.”

Get lost, French surrender monkey. I’ve had it up to my 0311 eyeballs with you losers. Go hide under a rock, wimp.

Can we petition Mr. Robinson to throw these snakes out of FR?

Hey sergeantdave,

I'm expressing what is happening right here and now before our very eyes. You can take your ad hominem attacks and shove it.

Jim Robinson knows I'm not a snake; he responded TODAY to one of my earlier threads:

So how about figuring how WHO you're talking to and what they're talking about and their posting history before you start leveling accusations at someone who loves this country as much as you do.

A 17 point lead for that leftist McAuliffe, if true, is a surefire sign this Republic IS dead...I hope I am wrong, but Virginia USED to be a pretty solid Republican state or at least a swing one.

You may not like the diagnosis, but many of us are beginning to think a phoenix may have to arise from the ashes...at any rate, it is my opinion that your name calling and vitriol are unwarranted.

All I need to know about you is what you posted:

“Our Republic is dead.”

The last thing we need in our fight for freedom is for people like you to encourage defeat and surrender.

You can take your defeatism and shove it.

Incidentally, my attack against you is not ad hominem; it’s based upon what you posted. Big difference.

You think our republic is dead. Fine. Go crawl away. We’re getting ready to fight, and you have no fight left in you.

You obviously don’t know me. Don’t like the accurate diagnosis? Refute it with some evidence.

Your vitriol and ad hominem attacks effect zero.
