Well I certainly did. Comments like "I love Dick Cheney", " I really love this man!", "I’ve always been a fan of Dick", "Cheney: Still the only ADULT in the room.", and "Mr. Cheney is the brightest" go beyond merely praising his message about the tea party. It implies that these freepers see Dick Cheney as a role model and an ideal conservative, which he isn't. I used to feel that way about Cheney, but looking back in hindsight, he caused a lot of harm.

I wouldn't go as far as Impy and sickoflibs, I disagree Cheney spent his career "opposing tea party ideals" or that he needs to apologize for doing so-and-so. His record as a Congressman was pretty solid, but that's going back to 1979-1989.

His actions in modern times have caused a lot of problems, so I wouldn't gush over Cheney as "the brightest in the room" and talk about how much I "love" him. No doubt he's a straight shooter, and I admire his actions against terrorists and vocal criticism of Obama, but I would never go around preaching 'Cheney is sooo awesome'. Conservatives who do so have some blinders on, plain and simple.

I didn’t make any of those kind of comments...tho I was accused of such....and no, I didn’t read the entire thread. When those accusations came my way, I dismissed them. Final analysis? I would pretty much agree with yours on Cheney....
