Carissa Brooks went to the Shopping Center on Saturday to buy some thread. She went home with some health insurance. It was an emotional moment for the 36-year-old mother of two.
She stumbled upon a health-insurance outreach program by Public Health-Seattle. The department hosted the event to help people obtain coverage through the Affordable Care Act.
"It's exciting," Brooks said, after hugging her "in-person assister," the staffer certified to help with enrollment. "I was going to cry."
Brooks was able to qualify for Medicaid coverage under the new Affordable Care Act provisions, and she will not have to pay any premium for her coverage.

Then she was assigned a free physician under Medicaid. Patient to answering service of free physician under Medicaid: "I think I have an infected finger".
Answering service of free physician under Medicaid: "Go to the emergency room."

Think anyone is checking citizenship as a requirement for enrolling?

The premium is actually 613/month (CA) the difference is a tax payer paid subsidy of $516/month.

Because Crossroads is in a polyglot community, there were translators who could help in 11 languages, including Punjabi, Mandarin, Spanish and Russian. Evidently... "It takes a polyglot community to raise good U. S. Citizens.", as revealed by the U. S. Government's disastrous, destructive, and downright dangerous immigration policies.

I believe illegals can sign up, so that would be a big fat NO!
Read something the other day that led me to believe illegals are free to sign up. There is a chance that impression was wrong.

What's funny is I happened to be at this mall yesterday during the sign up fair.
I wasn't there for that, though, it was to get my son a haircut.
I saw all the booths and told my wife, see that table that on the end? That's Molina, the Medicaid program.
These stupid pukes don't understand that no doctor will take this $hit "insurance". The ones that have Medicaid in their practice do it as basically charity work. An all Medicaid practice would go out of business with out a juicy "subsidy" from Uncle Sugar.
And where does Uncle Sugar get his money from?
Yep, those who work and produce taxes.
BTW, this is a very nice upscale mall.

Now you see why they needed to raise the debt ceiling. More insurance for people not paying. Government has to borrow more money to cover it. Thus passing the cost on to our grand kids. Thanks Obama!

She drive to the mall for a spool of thread? That says a lot right there. If I need a spool of thread, I hunt through the sewing cabinet and or see if a neighbor has that color (we trade out a lot which saves us both). If not, then I wait 6 months or until there are enough “needs” to warrant a trip to Walmart for cheaper thread than at JoAnn’s. I do NOT drive to the mall for a spool of thread. It’s obvious that woman has no clue and the rest of us are footing the bill for her ignorance.

Well if’n it ain't my favorite Johnny Reb! How ya been cousin? Nah,Bernie's too busy ‘’picking up the soap’’ right now, if you know what I mean. Seriously Reb, this is one instance I'm inclined to agree with you about the pond scum in Washington, lib and conservatives, all of 'em. I'm not enrolling in no government health care bullsh!t. I'm serious. No way, no how and if it gets ugly and they want to force me, well, whatever happens if I have to take one of them with me, so be it. I'm three steps from sixty, I've had a good run. Could I have done more with my life? I suppose so but what the Hell, we all got to go sometime. If it has now come to pass that the government can force us to buy health care then it can force us to have to buy a certain make of car or do whatever it thinks is in our best interest. It's at that point, well it's at the point now where we are no longer free people. At least I'll see my mother again in Heaven.(that is if old St. Peter lets me in.)
