It's been legal for almost a year in WA and CO, so we are testing whether that leads to problems such as increased crime and traffic deaths. AFAIK, they've not fallen apart.
In theory I agree with you but reality has me against pot legalization.

Doesn’t matter where its legal, not all drug users are responsible. Some drug users are vicious, bottom feeding scum who the taxpayer funds them because they can’t take care of themselves and taxpayers fund govt agencies because the drug users impose their behavior on others.
As long as taxpayers are subsidizing the bad consequences of pot legalization then I can’t support legalizing it. Take away taxpayer involvement and you’ll have my support.
