the defunding effort will turn out to be a major plus in the midterms. “we tried to defund this thing. the democrats stopped us, demonized us, and ultimately lied to all of you so they could control your life”.

could effectively discourage all but the most desperate customers from shopping, which in turn would create an unsustainably expensive insurance pool, driving prices up and driving people away, and potentially wrecking the entire individual insurance market in short order.Guess that's why he said "ahead" of schedule. They'll wreck private insurance faster than expected and be ready for single-payer much more quickly. And people said Cruz was crazy for pulling out all the stops to try to stop this train wreck? Why is the world so upside-down? Demonizing the only guy who was trying to prevent this catastrophe that everyone admits is unfolding.

Like the Bush administration in Iraq, the White House seems to have invaded the health insurance marketplace with woefully inadequate postinvasion planning, and let the occupation turn into a disaster of hack work and incompetence.LOL. It's Bush's fault.

This was signed into law more that 3 1/2 years ago, what could possibly be wrong with these people that the website isn’t operating smooth as silk.
It just doesn’t seem like that overwhelming of a problem, there are only a limited number of options for exchange participants, they’ve been running unemployment checks on line for years and that seems a lot more complex.
Besides, they’ve had a lot of time.

“potentially wrecking the entire individual insurance market in short order.”
I thought that was the intention all along.

because you cant very well fine people for failing to buy a product they cant access. Why not, they have fined oil refineries for not using a product that doesn't exist.

Cruz had the right idea even if implemented wrong (only wrong by the RINO’s). This will fail on its own but now our party (at this time, it may be another party eventually) is defined as against this. Thank goodness we have a few Republicans” that still stand for the people.

Where was this guy when certain senators were trying to put this in hold?? Now that the shutdown is over and the GOP has fully surrendered, he is coming out with these new discoveries. How convenient!

"But it seemed that way because it was hard to imagine the Obama White House botching the design and execution of its national health care exchange."
The structure of the law and its 10x words of regulations doom it as a benefit to America.

So while Republican politicians may be salivating over a potential Obamacare crisis, the conservative policy thinkers I know are not. Theyre hoping, as Im hoping, that this isnt as bad as it looks. The chance to say I told you so is always nice, but not if the price is a potentially irrecoverable disaster. It's impossible to write a paragraph more stupid than that.
Just try. See? One can't. It's impossible.

Obamacare does nothing at all to increase the number of doctors and nurses; it does nothing to lower the cost of health insurance; and the basic sign-up site does not work, so God knows what the rest of the IT will be like. In other words, this monstrously awful legislation was written by people who dont know anything about health care, dont know anything about health insurance, and dont know anything about health care IT!
But, in keeping with the folks in charge, while they are blindingly ignorant, they dont even know
that they dont even know.
