Walker finishes out term one in 2014. So he will have one full term under his belt before the primary season begins in 2015. Plus he would then have been elected in three times in a State that twice voted pretty significantly for Obama in 08 and 12.

The more important thing is that unlike Obama, Cruz, McCain, and all the other bloviators in Congress, Walker actually has accomplished something.

As noted, he came into a State that was the poster child and inventor of government employee power and largess. And he amazingly de-fanged them, which has now resulted in massive budget surpluses and tax cuts.

But don’t cry for our State workers. Under Walker’s plan, they all basically just took a five percent pay cut in the form of having to pay for their benefits. None got laid off and they all still make good coin. State government is more efficient than ever.

He ultimately may not be charismatic enough. But he’s young, speaks in plain talk and gets things done.
