British police say they were called after a string of attacks on red-haired pupils at a school in northern England.
The issue of bullying of red-haired children periodically arises in Britain, and some commentators have attributed the phenomenon to lingering anti-Celtic prejudice.

We have bullying, but I have to say I don’t think its worse than the US.
Ginger women and girls, yeah baby.
Ginger men and boys, hideous.
Yes.
The bash-a-ginger SP episode was just shown last week on British TV. All reports say its related to that.
As a Rangers fan, I say go !££&*^^^)%.
I love you, lol.
Although its actually Brigton. LOL.
Ahem... I'm most decidedly male. And my hair is red.
I've never whipped a scotsman before. But if you would like, I'll add you to the list.
If it matters, I'm here in Texas.

I’m a Scotsman, son.
My forefathers beat the Romans, Vikings and the Anglo-Saxons. And as a proud Scot, and an ex-British Para, I’d be happy to fly to Texas and deflate that oversized ego of yours.
LOL.
Emlyn Hughes.....That’s the guy....On YouTube somebody posted episodes of “Matches of the 70s”, which goes through the highlights of each season and features comments by the players....It must have been produced in the 90s....Hughes was one of the prominent commenters, but I didn’t know he has already passed.
I got totally hooked watching them. Here is a sample link, you can find the others on YT easily.

Do they still allow it? I thought they pretty much kick out anyone caught singing it.
No.
We still sing Derry’s Walls, The Sash, Follow Follow and others. Only the Billy Boys has been stopped.
The guy who played for Leeds United. I only know of him because of "The Damned United."
There are some nice golf courses over here. Lots of obnoxious people you can't understand. Plenty of booze. You might feel right at home except for the mist and rain and muck we've got this time of year.

My main man at the base in the North of England, the guy I stood on the Kop with, was a dead ringer for Stevie Heighway, who was center forward when Keegan was on the wing. We saw Keegan come up to Liverpool from Doncaster Rovers. My next post was Rome in 1976. Another mate of mine scored us a couple of tix for the England-Italy WC qualifier at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. England lost that day to Italy, 2-0. They won the replay at Wembley, 2-0. Keegan scored a goal. We WERE big Leeds United fans but they’ve dropped back to the Champions League. I am so happy to see EPL matches on ESPN and Fox Soccer Channel here.
Wow! This is the first time I’ve been involved in keyboard agro. I had the pleasure of seeing Celtic play against Leeds in Jack Charlton’s Testimonial Match. Celtic supporters are real gentlemen.

Billy died rather young about 16 years ago. I met him a couple of times at our mess at Menwith Hill Station. A fierce competitor, he was still a thug. Leeds snatched him up from Celtic when he was still a kid.
Actually NBC Sports has all the Barclay’s Premier League games now....All the games are accessible live over the Internet so I never have to miss an Everton match...It’s great.
Wish though they had the Champions League games.
Some are great, some are pondlife.
