PETA wnants ALL animal names removed from sports teams. I suppose muslims could want all Christian names removed, i.e. a local Christian school has the name Crusaders.
The PC crowd will just start looking for their next victim to harass into submission................

Name one sports team that ever picked a name and mascot to denigrate their own team?
You don’t name your team after people or things that you want to make fun of.

The original team was in Boston. The ‘red skin’ name referred to beans................

The Giants name could be derogatory to short people.
The Eagles name is definitely derogatory to PETA.
As are Cardinals, Lions, Bears, Colts, Dolphins, Jaguars, Panthers, Broncos, Seahawks, Rams, Bengals and any other animal names.
Patriots would be offensive to The Leftards, Saints would be offensive to muslims, Buccaneers and Raiders would be offensive to felons, Cowboys would be offensive to women and Jets, Chargers, 49’ers and Steelers would be offensive to environmentalists.......
Just don’t allow the sports writers into the home games anymore.
Yet they have I have noticed that the “Chicago Blackhawks” symbol has been “left alone.” Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I actually hope the owner goes on national television and says the following: "I agree with the people who are sickened by the name 'Washington Redskins'. I have decide to change the name of the team to 'The Redskins'. Thank you."
