“Senator Orrin G. Hatch, Republican of Utah, himself a longtime conservative leader in Washington,”
The roaches have come out of their holes. At the very least, the shutdown exposed the traitors and collaborators. Essentially, it's what e all suspected, all Republican establishment are guilty.

Hatch was a goner in 2012. You know who stepped in to save his sorry azz. Not one of her smarter moves. Now we are stuck with this dolt another 5 years.

I think Palin learned her lesson with Hatch. It’s clear she’s going to Kentucky to help primary McConnell.

I don’t know, but ever since he was stuck in the trash compactor upside down and managed to miraculously escape with the help of ted the k who is no longer around to do any rescuing at all. (sort of like usual,) he’s been a different man and his head looks silly that small and square..
To: The_Victor
They don’t seem to get it that conservatives no longer see Republicans as the party of conservatives.

” the shutdown exposed the traitors and collaborators.”
Exactly. Each of these showdowns flushes out the faux conservatives. We were tipped off on McConnell when he went limp after being wiretapped.

Anyone who has watched or listened to Glenn Beck in the last few weeks, or subscribes to The Blaze, has heard of the attempted takeover of Heritage by the moderate (progressive) faction of the ‘establishment’ Republicans just prior to the 2012 elections. That attempt was unsuccessful but they have now set themselves against Heritage and the Tea Party. Moderate Republicans like McConnell, Hatch and Graham are trying to claim the description of ‘conservative’ for themselves.

Mr. Hatch, in the interview Thursday, said he is so worried about Heritage he might attempt to intervene to try to bring the organization back from the extreme. So is Lord Hatch going to call up Jim DeMint and call him bad names?

Wow! So Senator Hatch believes that it’s the Heritage Foundation that has changed it’s principles over the years, and not the members of the Republican Party???
Also, the fact that there has been a very public (and increasingly shrill) backlash against the “extreme” Tea Party members by many public figures such as fellow Republicans, public figures, the media is concerning. While I realize that they are trying to remove the ability for the Tea Party to have any credibility or influence, it worries me that the attacks have been so personal and vicious. How long before Its considered to be open season on Tea Party supporters because they are seen as the cause of all ills in the country? I listen to these people publicly attack, and realize that they are speaking about ME! I never dreamed that US legislators would begin to excoriate those of us who stand for Constitutional and Biblical values. And yet, here were are.

People like Hatch, McConnell and McCain have been drinking the Potomac River water (see below) for so long, I doubt they're still human, much less Republican.
(Poster on display in the halls of Congress - actual radioactive Potomac River water! Thankfully, Cruz and Lee have so far refused to drink)

Yeah, and they are being so short-sighted and blinded by their rage at Conservatives, that they fail to tell us precisely how their ranting and raving will translate into votes for their next elections.
