Ok everyone how about this, in ALL furure Election Cycles we WORK OUR A$$ES OFF to get Tea Party/9-12ers elected and if the "GOP-e/Rinos/Backstabbers" come against us then we WORK OUR A$$ES off to get the Dem elected.
If John McCain or Lindsey Graham (et al) wins the primary, Vote for the Democrat. We have to take some heads or we will never get any respect.
This is exactly the Strategy of the NRA, and it is exactly the strategy we should follow.
I agree. Time for a new party. Nancy Mace and Matt Bevin sound good in the senate. But a new party is needed. The conservative freedom party.

It MUST be called the "Tea Party". Attempting to change your name just to avoid the slander is futile. They are going to fling muck on any new name, and they will point out you were a coward for trying to get away with it.

It doesn't MATTER what you call the party. The media will link it to the Tea party and call it RACIST and EXTREME!
What we need to do is NUKE THE MEDIA!!!!!!!!!! We need to burn them to the ground in any manner of which we can contemplate.
We need to challenge their licenses, file lawsuits against them, punch "journalists" in the mouth, and in general make them hate us with the intensity of the sun.
We need to get them to overstep and put their vile bigotry and hatred for us on the airwaves so that everyone can see them for what they are. (Vile Manipulators who have destroyed the election process by their propaganda.)
We need to attack their financial underpinnings and work to render them bankrupt. We need to attack them with competition, especially in the entertainment industry.
We need to work at wiping them out financially.
Sometimes to make a problem better, you first must make it worse. The NRA backs Dems when Republicans don't toe the line. This serves two purposes. It punishes traitors, and it gives Dems reasons to hold the line as well.
A Dem that relies on NRA votes is a reliable Dem on that issue.

If you voted for Romney you voted for a democrat. He was simply too dishonest to call himself one.
We clearly need to get rid of deal makers who won't fight.

I say this so often I get tired of hearing myself. But even if one state does this, things can turn around. (There are a couple of instances where locals did just this, and it works every time its tried.)
Forget the races. Forget the primaries. Forget your congress idiot and forget your senators.
FORGEDDABOUT A THIRD PARTY. Its a guaranteed waste of time and money and it will lose. Ross Perot put big money in it, and got what was predicted, 18 percent of the vote.
First things First: Regain control of the RNC by targeting the BOTTOM, not the top or midlevl.
You do this by REGAINING CONTROL OF YOUR LOCAL COUNTY COURT HOUSE. This is where the party power lies for BOTH parties.
This is why the RATZ seem so all powerful. They OWN the foundation. RINOs know this too. Its the fountainhead for all those pathetic RINO choices the party keeps handing you for your primary.
Take control of the lowest elected levels of your party. They can be found hanging out at your local county courthouse. Once you do that, then YOU get to decide who runs and who doesn’t.
Get control of the very bottom rung of the ladder, and the BOOHOO Boehners will kowtow to you.

It's too late to stop us from going over a cliff by turning to the schools. If that is the plan, it is worse than useless at this point. It's like planing to buy fire extinguishers while your house is on fire. Too little, too late.

This. We have the power to HURT them, and if we HURT them, we can make them behave. But they will not BELIEVE we have the power to HURT them, until we Demonstrate it.
Sometimes you have to blow up the team. The time for blowing up the GOP has long since passed.
I initially dismissed the very idea. I'm not sure I could sleep at night. But... this is FR and I tend to be slow to dismiss things out of hand. Even some of our luniest of FRiends make salient and logical arguments that put liberal ideology in its place. So I have considered the pros, cons and ramifications. How could trying to get democrats to replace RINOs help our cause AS A LAST RESORT (following primaries) at election time?
Would we rather have a McCain or a Pelosi in the senate if we had to choose? We'll get some votes from McCain. But when it counts, he will single handedly convince several GOPers to vote for compromise or with the dems. Worse, he will advance policies, agendas and social change detrimental to our nation under the GOP banner (McCain/Fiengold, Amnesty, etc.). At least with a Pelosi, her position is known and that person would be more easily to target for replacement in some future election.
I'm still not sure where I stand on this dramatic pursuit. But I am listening to all ideas for now.
For me, most of this is re-arranging the deck chairs while the ship sinks. If there is any plan or strategy that will change the course of our great nation, it will be born out of some horrific happenstance or event that we have not yet conceived. Barring that, I fear we will ride this boat to the bottom before our voting citizenry decides to hold their breath and swim up for air. So, until we hit bottom, I'm up for anything that can be logically rationalized.
