Senate Republicans emerged Wednesday from the Capitol meeting that ended the shutdown and debt ceiling crisis at least for a couple of months, saying,

The GOP needs to get off their hind ends, and pass Healthcare reform in the House.
A GOP version.
Now. Be ready for the next go-around in January.
The GOP is just another wing of the Democratic Party.
Third Party? Heck, how about a Second Party, first.
YOU ARE ALL CORRECT... NEVER AGAIN... WE ARE GOING TO DO EVERYTHING THAT WE CAN AS A CONSERVATIVE CAUCUS TO ELIMINATE YOUR PRESENCE FROM ANY FORM OF GOVERNANCE IN AMERICA EVER AGAIN. IT IS RINO SEASON AND THERE IS NO BAG LIMIT AND WE ARE COMING DIRECTLY AFTER ALL OF YOU RINOS. OH... AND BTW... WE DESPISE THE VERY AIR THAT YOU BREATHE. WE ARE THE VOTERS... BE AFRAID... BE VERY AFRAID! WE WILL ALSO NOT BE KIND IN VICTORY. WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND AND PAYBACK IS A BITCH.
What would a “GOP version of healthcare” be? More government administration of same?
Sure, the RINO caucus is the “sanity caucus”. Yes, freedom of the press can be and is abused; the Founding Fathers never intended it to be used for disseminating lies, any more than they intended the US Constitution to be in the hands of immoral and irreligious people.
The GOP already offered an alternative back when Obamacare was being rammed through. It was heavy on things like removing the prohibition on offering across state lines and reliance on medical FSAs, tax credits, etc. Not more regulation and government control.
As in “Never again try to stand up against the RATS on anything”.
A twist on old saying, I never left the Republican party, they left me.
I don’t know.
But we (the GOP) cannot in my opinion simply argue to keep the system we have.
And we cannot likewise, simply support the Democrats.
What that means in practice, I don’t know.
17% of the government shut-down is not what I call a government shutdown.
Any of us can find 17% of the government that should be permanently shut down. In fact all of it could come from welfare expenditures. Close down the Dept. of Education - it is a state responsibiliy anyway. All of the departments are bloated.
So, the ‘sanity caucus’ are republicans who will vote exactly like left wing democrats. Sound like a viable situation.
My analysis is that politics is the art of the possible. The desired outcome for Obamacare or the debt ceiling/CR was not possible because the raw political power required to make the desired changes was simply not there.
The Obamacare problem has taken a predicted turn towards failure. The Obama government simply has failed, massively failed, to get it up and working.
The money problems were for ordained....... the ceiling would be lifted. The changes in spending details were ancillary and a direct function of how many votes could be mustered.
In the end of this round, there were just not enough votes, raw political power, to carry the conservative day. Absent winning the Senate in 2014, there may never be.
Orin Hatch speaking out in defense of us all is an prime example of how far left and how evil these rino vermin truly are. I will work the rest of my life to destroy theirs through the ballot box.
I blame the conservatives who refused to vote in the last election. With them we could have Romney. Even with his faults, I firmly believe we would be out, or almost out, of the nightmare we are experiencing. We are our own worst enemy!!
It is time for the TEA Party to become the second major party in US Politics.
We need AGE limits! Hatch had been there for as long as I can remember. All these people are RINO’s. Poor, poor John Boehner. He had to come out from under his desk and take his thumb out of his mouth. He should NEVER have been Speaker of the House!
I have always voted a straight Republican ticket. NO MORE! Truth is...I may never vote again and I am up for re-election to my twp election board in November. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Elections don’t mean a thing.
