This was the death nell of the Republican Party.Soon it will be no more.Mitch McConnell put the last nail in the coffin. Weirdo John McCain now publicly recites the eulogy.

Of all the crackpot theories I’ve heard today, I like yours the best.

Thanks. I think.

;-)

The more I've thought of this, and seen outraged reaction by friends (both Libs, Conservatives and Moderates), the more convinced I am that I'm right.

My wife, and her pretty large family, are from Louisville. With a couple exceptions, they're hard-core partisan Democrats. Not really ideological (actually more center-right), but they do the whole Irish-Catholic Democrat identity politics thing. A LOT of them will admit to having been Reagan voters (so typical Reagan Dems, I suppose).

They fear McConnell. Despise him certainly, but the key element is really fear. They consider him to be pure evil - the most ruthlessly savvy/astute politician the state has seen in their lifetime. They're all pretty upset that Alison Grimes was badgered into going up against him, since they thought she'd make a really good governor and believe that in the general election (to them Bevin is an afterthought) he's going to destroy her political career.

Anyways, point is that taking a what? $2 billion pork bribe on an issue of this emotion and intensity is a really stupid thing to do. An OBVIOUS $2 billion pork bribe, I'd add.

This money gains him nothing, but does stand to lose him a LOT of GOP primary voters. People can hate McConnell all they want, but they can't call the man "stupid."

Maybe, just MAYBE, those who vote upon bills should READ said bills?

Now, I don’t care WHO asked for this ‘little nugget’, but it sure as sh!t wasn’t a sticking point for any YEAH votes.

So much for a ‘clean’ bill. So clean, it took, what, 35 pages?

The Republican national party apparatus has to be completely starved of funds. That is the only way they will wake up. Anyone who sends a cheque to Washington is aiding and abetting the treachery of the GOP-e. Support the Tea Party and/or a local candidate who is conservative, but do not feed the beast.

I wonder how this will square with Rand Paul...

Rand is okay with pork, so long as he's getting his slice.

Remember his outrage at cutting Medicare payments to doctors like him? Doctors have the right to "make a comfortable living" off the taxpayers.

Matt Bevin is running against McConnell in the republican primary next year. It’s my hope that KY retires McConnell and that your fine state of SC sends Graham packing also.

Hey, Senator Weasel is your guy, you all deal with him.

The only thing he was sure about was that he would screw the military as much as possible with the Sequester. Well, screw him, and all Republicans. I am done with all of them.

By the way, John McPain, said this week that he expects to run for Senate reelection in 2016. He knows the people of AZ need the assurance that he will always be there to be their national spokesman. People in AZ can’t sleep at night without knowing McPain is watching over them. He didn’t say a word about changing parties, alas.

I don’t think average people send money to the RNC anyway, it’s only the big boys in that pot of gold.
