There is nothing Ted Cruz can do to stop it in the Senate. Maybe postpone it for a few days but that is it. Go Ted.
This statement is correct. Ted knows he has to marshall his resources for the next fight....

"We left a lot on the table because we couldn't get our act together, but this is the best Mitch could do," said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who will vote for the deal. "We need to stop the bleeding, lessen the damage to the party." FULG and FUGOPe. McConnell's "best" isn't good enough. Primary his ass out.

Cruz/Lee did an outstanding job. Alone in the wilderness they held firm in what they believed in until there was no reason not to. They pulled a large portion of the nation to our side, whether anyone on here wants to see that or not. They did not bow to the media powerbrokers. They also presented themselves in an ethical and professional manner throughout the entire crisis. No other republican in the senate or single democrat can state they did the same. In fact, most of the rino senators and all the dems did exactly the opposite - blackmailed by the media, unethical behavior including gossip/lies, no regard for the desires of the citizenry, etc.
Revolutions come in various forms, as we have recently been reminded of throughout the middle east. My prayer is for a peaceful revolution and transition to a constitutional government. For too long the people of America have been controlled by a tyrannical oligarchy bordering on fascism. We have been lied to, spied on, our material wealth stolen without cause. And the freedoms granted to us by our Creator are in the process of being crushed into the ground. A peaceful revolution, one that brings us a freedom based constitutional government must be our first cause. Do not be distracted by small fires around the perimeter. Stay focused on the core issue at hand - the founding of a freedom based constitutionally sound and minimal government.

Republicans had both Houses of Congress as well as the presidency not too long ago. How did that work out?

Under Senate rules, two Senators might not be able to stop the coup that is taking place, but they might be able to use their "face time" to point it out. Cruz has opted to give Harry Reid what he wants. If you're not disappointed by that, then I'm sure that you'll enjoy all the surrenders to come
What a nit-picking wuss you are.
Senators Cruz and Lee have stood up to the worst kind of beating from both the Left and their supposed side of the aisle, all the while standing for what we sent the to Congress to stand for and they decide that nothing material can be done at this point so they let the process go forward and like the ninny you are, you want to complain about this?
I'm surprised at you.
It is simply deplorable how our side rolls over and plays dead at the first sign of adversity.
I would not want you beside me in battle, I'd be afraid that at the first sign of the battle going the wrong way, just when I needed you most, you would turn tail and run!

Huh? He’s the only one leading. He’s just one man, and this was just the opening act. He’s one of the most talented lawyers in the nation, and this was his opening statement. Where do you turn now since you’ve dismissed Cruz? Who’s doing more?

“The French could take lessons on how to surrender from the GOP.”
We knew this was over before it even started.
Anyone who didn’t know that, hasn’t been paying attention to what the media has been doing for the last 12 years.
IS THIS ENOUGH OF A WAKE-UP CALL, yet?

So curious that you would think that I'm advocating some kind of surrender, when in fact I'm advocating exactly the opposite - going nuclear.
Do you really think that somehow things will go better in early 2014?
But if you prefer your silver linings, don't let me get in the way of your enjoyment. Sure, retreat now. Fight another day.
That's such an easy refrain, and I sure have heard alot of it.

I don't expect the GOP-E to put up a fight at all. I expect the conservatives that fought this round will continue and drag part of the GOP with them. We kept sequestration, after all.

And who do you think is going to impeach him? Members of his own party? The quisling Republicans? If we can’t even hold the line on defunding Obamacare, how are are we going to impeach Obama?

Why? All he dd was make noise that accomplished nothing. If I just want someone who can yell Ill vote for the Yorkie next door. Ted Cruz is a yapper, nothing more.
No, the only yappers are those who tuck their tail in and run at the first sign of adversity.

IMO, this puts the spotlight glaringly on healthcare.gov and Obamacare in general. Come January, if people still cannot register for Obamacare reliably and more information about rate hikes, healthcare workers being fired, the insurance exchange death spiral has begun, etc, we may actually have more leverage to flush this turd. Obama said something the other day that on the surface appears completely delusional and narcissistic (as is typical), but put it together with the reasonable suspicion that the exchange rollout was designed to fail, and... let's just say that there's no ceiling on the obama admin's craft, deceit, and evil.
"My suspicion is what is going to happen is when it's working and everybody is really happy with it, Republicans are going to stop calling it 'Obamacare,'" the president said Tuesday in an interview with New York's WABC TV station.
Obama: Critics will stop calling it Obamacare if it works
This is a manipulator who "won" despite the dud/dead campaign rallies, the altered-state zone-out in the debates, and four years of outright lies including the producing of a brazenly fraudulent BC.
Now I sure don't believe that the Obamanationcare will ever "work", unless of course "work" is defined as a grand Gotcha! that is designed to engulf and enslave the American People, leaving only a small remnant.
The "Health Insurance Marketplace" is so dysfunctional, that at whatever point it appears to spit out rate comparisons and policies, it will seem as if "It's a Miracle!" (Never mind that these policies won't translate into actual health care... but for a time a game can be rigged.)
Is is possible to be too cynical WRT the malevolence of these folks? I don't think so.
