The basic framework of the deal Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid have hammered out is coming to light.
The provision the GOP is crowing over that the Obama Administration will check the income levels of those who receive a subsidy is already the law. Meanwhile, the GOP will let the rest of the year proceed above sequester level spending, give the unions another carve out of Obamacare, and extend the debt limit to February.
Im sure at the last minute theyll also delay the medical device tax so it looks like Harry Reid caved on something. Really, itll just be so McConnells and Boehners staffers on K Street get something out of the deal.
But dont worry. Karl Roves Crossroads group is going to start spending money to protect Mitch McConnell from Matt Bevin in Kentucky.
Ted Cruz was right all along. Americans need House Republicans to fight. Mitch McConnell has no appetite for it. Senate Republicans are openly hoping to blame a debt default on Ted Cruz. They want to blame him for everything. They hate being seen as the capitulators that they are.
Conservatives in the House of Representatives need to stand up and pledge to vote against any rule on this plan. It does not defund Obamacare. It does not delay Obamacare. Heck, it does not even require that Obamacare go into effect as designed with no exemptions, exceptions, or delays. If they wont defund or delay it, they should at least make it go into effect on schedule, on time, and by design not with another union carve out.
Extend the debt ceiling so the manufactured nonsense about defaulting goes away, then keep the fight on the continuing resolution about Obamacare.
The RedState contact email is now getting one anti-GOP email for every one anti-Democrat email. That has never happened before. All these polls showing America hates the GOP are accurate. Even Republicans hate the GOP and the GOP might have to learn that the hard way in 2014 primaries.
See new tag line.

Has Ted Cruz said that Repubs should force a default rather than fund Obamacare? That would take some real cajones, but I haven’t found where Cruz spells that out. Anybody know what Cruz wants in order for him to declare victory and abandon the fight?
This is the only way you get a viable third party. A sizeable group of already elected officials with name recognition and the power of incumbency from secure conservative districts have to leave the GOP as a body and form the core of the new conservative movement.
Running from the outside is a guaranteed failure, and win for the democrat-socialists.

And the horse is on it’s last legs.

Look at the difference between how the GOPe talk with / work with the democrats and how they deal with conservatives.
McConnell has plenty of fight in him when he’s going after conservatives. He’s much more willing to give and deal with the democrats.
Moral of the story: He’s a fighter as long as he’s fighting his enemies.
Anybody know what Cruz wants in order for him to declare victory and abandon the fight?
He’s been pretty clear: He wants the House to defund Obamacare.
"I hope the House forces Obamas hand."
Yep. The last thing you want is to be holding the bag on Thursday (on something in which you had absolutely no input).
Instead, turn the tables on the Dems. There are lots of vulnerable Dems in the Senate (WV gun-grabbing Senator Joe Marxist, for example)... publicly invite them to the table if need be, and then put the heat on them- just like Harry Reid and Obama do to the Repubs. If they say no, then they will be the obstructionists here- and it will be clear to voters back home that they only take marching orders from Obama...
(And if a deal is reached with the vulnerable Dems... then Obama will be at clear risk for rejecting a bipartisan deal).
I approve of my senator and what he is doing.

We are in no condition to fight Obama because we are already fighting a two front war against the GOP and the media. The media must be defeated first. It is time for bold action.
Exactly my thoughts.....
Well, Ez, things have reached the point where there is no remedy in the Republicrat Party. The Constitution is in tatters, the Supreme Court is larded with traitorous Obama running dogs, the nation is full of homosexuals, illegal trespassing criminals, Muslims, and perpetually malcontented negroes who are being constantly whipped into a state of what they believe is not criminal activity.
Obama has ‘quietly’ removed or demoted any general officers who would lead the nation to a revolutionary move on the seat of the central socialist government’s power. Perhaps it’s up to the NCOs and the few field grade officers who are not contaminated by political correctness.
At any rate the nation simply is unable to withstand the onslaught on our morals, religion or laws unenforced.
Anybody who thinks Zero will keep a deal must not have noticed how often he ignores the law.
They first come in green.
Then they quickly turn yellow.
Soon after they become rotten.
10th amendment much?
No, you don’t.
Ted Cruz had them on the run. The GOPe ends up making concessions to the Democrats.
I agree completely, sad to say.
See my tag line.
If boner caves he should go ahead and adjourn the house, tell them to go home and draw their paychecks but don’t plan on ever returning.
I often ask myself “What will it take to get the people in the streets?” I no longer ask myself that. The people should have been in the streets a long time ago. Now it’s too late. I’ve been suggesting a third party for years. I’m afraid it’s too late for that, too.
Suggestions?
