Sen. Barbara Boxer likened GOP lawmakers to people who abuse their spouses on Monday when discussing the current government shutdown and the looming debt limit deadline.
The California Democrat, who like most in her party, blames the lack of government funding and current impasse over raising the debt ceiling on Republicans who have insisted on passing measures aimed at dismantling the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare.
First she compared the current budget crisis to walking down the street on a nice day and then deciding to bash yourself in the head with a rock.
Then she said:
“It’s a self-inflicted wound. I never questioned, never questioned the fact that Republicans, Democrats, and Independents love this country. Love this country. I never questioned it. But I have to say, when you start acting like you’re committing domestic abuse, you’ve got a problem. ‘I love you dear, but you know, I’m shutting down your entire government. I love you dear, but I’m going to default and you’re going to be weak.’ Something is dreadfully wrong.
Something is dreadfully wrong with the mind of anyone who likens government budget politics to spousal abuse. Tell me where the similarities are, please.

However, I think an argument could be made that Obamacare being forced on Americans in order to subdue and control is similar to domestic violence.
Boxer is sick in the head. The Democrats addiction to spending is "domestic abuse" of the tax payer!!!
Using Boxer’s logic the headline should read “Boxer steal from children’s future”. By her logic she is a child abuser.

Babs says she knows the citizen protesters are fake — because they dress to well.
There is a joke among the co-founders of our local Tea Party group, the Southern California Tax Revolt Coalition, about putting on the “uniform” for an event. That “uniform” is t-shirt, jeans, and comfortable shoes o well!
Calling American voters fake, paid-for liars is certainly an interesting strategy — especially for someone like Babs
I also don’t think using children as a human shield is going to protect cowardly, special-interest representatives from voter wrath is going to work out too well, either.

Budget figures provided by the White House show that the deficit nearly tripled from 2008 to 2009, when Obama took office, and has remained above $1 trillion since then, though 2013 projections are slightly lower.
The country has seen higher budget deficits during every year of Obama’s presidency than it did during any of his predecessor’s eight years in office.

If you listen to the Republicans, you’d that this deficit has gone up under President Obama. President Obama inherited a $1.2 trillion deficit. It’s now down — it’s been cut in half. It’s been cut in half. But if you listen to them, you’d think that, oh my God, everything is awful. I just took a look at the charts. I took a look at deficits under Democratic and Republican presidents. I am so proud to be a Democrat.

You can’t ‘blame’ her for thinking like that.
When the LIBS have an event they either have to have some ‘star’ show up to entertain - Didn’t it get so bad that they had to resort to having the ‘celebrity’ entertain AFTER the speeches because they would listen to the singer and LEAVE before the Speakers started.
Also, for ‘their’ spontaneous events they have to have ‘rent a crowds’ and bus people in to get some kind of crowd, then the willing ‘press/media’ will act accordingly when it comes to stories and pictures of the ‘adoring crowd’.
I think Michael Savage describes Boxer aptly:
