Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd confirms they were called in to help the employees at Walmart because there were so many people clearing off the shelves. He says Walmart was so packed, It was worse than any black Friday that hes ever seen.
Lynd explained the cards werent showing limits and they called corporate Walmart, whose spokesman said to let the people use the cards anyway. From 7 to 9 p.m., people were loading up their carts, but when the cards began showing limits again around 9, one woman was detained because she rang up a bill of $700.00 and only had .49 on her card. She was held by police until corporate Walmart said they wouldnt press charges if she left the food.

We just had a couple of 7+ in the Phillipines! Been quiet in the Pacific Rim for the last couple of days. I was just going to tell you that quiet in the Salton area, or any area where there is a history of volcanic activity is not a bad thing. A quiet period, at least recently, isn’t good in areas where subduction is on going, like along the Pacific plate in the western and northern boundaries.
aye carumba! i missed it. thanks for alerting me. i was feeding the local “traveler” cat that someone abandoned.
thanks, i’m going to check out the data now!
I saw two 7+ on the USGS site. Now they’re only showing 1 at a depth of 56 km. Their site is getting flaky. The other was at on 33 km deep. That one could cause major damage if it did occur.
Wal Mart has lobbied heavily for increased food stamp money. They are part of the problem.

Freebie food is such a big part of the biz these days that retailers have jumped on the lobbying bandwagon.
Lord help us....
I did see that. It looked like a minute apart?

Shake map shows shaking around Cebu where freeper AlexW lives.
