I’m just 5’8” and standing next to him (John) I came to his shoulder. He’s pretty tall to hide in a crowd. LOL!
Think it was during Carter’s presidency that I realized how conservative I was.
My parents voted for the loser, Adlai Stevenson. They practically went into mourning when he lost.

I have no idea who my Grandparents voted for as they believed in secret ballots. Even as a little one they made me wait outside the booth.

I can still sing and recite the little song.

The wires are about 1/3 the size of pencil lead and just as jumbled up.

My school and First Grade class got to see President Eisenhower in person!
He was in the black, convertible Cadillac Limo and drove very slowly right by our school and waved to us.
I remember his wide smile and rosy pink cheeks.
He was beautiful (for a man) in person!
At least from a little girl’s viewpoint!

Oh dear. My Mother never learned what rats they really were. Except maybe the Swimmer. She hated him.
