They were there to incite, plain and simple, that’s Obama’s MO... to elicit a fight. My guess is that they hoped someone would start a ruckus. No doubt they had the hoards on hand in the background somewhere. And they would be able to justify their action by saying the Tea Party terrorists had threatened “The Law”.

They may have had a better chance of pulling off their silly game if they hadn’t all been carrying sidearms.
But I doubt it.
That was a non-violent crowd, they weren’t going to get physical.
