I am the wife of ConorMacNessa who over the past several years has overcome many obstacles. I was at mass today while he down on the mall finally realizing what it means to have married my bestfriend.
When Pope Benedict came to town he was part of the choir at the Papal Mass. During the rehearsals and the actual event he was undergoing treatment for cancer. When he came home that night from the Mass he was pumped. Neither of us got much sleep that night as we stayed up watching the news coverage.
His going today was a feat as he uses a walker to get around. While it was my idea to attend the protest I stayed behind to get our son to work.

There were a lot of fellow Vets that appreciated Conor’s presence. And to have Conor walk the length of the Mall and get home in time to post a thread is a testament to his patriotism and the love between you two. I am proud to finally met him.
