Can you pay the fine with your gubmint issued EBT card?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

No - they’ll simply cross-reference your EBT ID # and you’ll never get a ticket in the first place.

Reason #4,907 to never, ever live or do business in Chicago.

Dear Komrade;

WE've decided that YOU need this for your own safety and protection. Have a nice Hopium filled day.

if watching “the first 48” on amc is any indication, those homeboys don’t have licenses or registered cards anyway, so those tickets will be “returned to sender”, address unknown, no such number.

Those infernal things got installed in Albuquerque, NM under a Democrat Mayor and operated for awhile.

They were continually vandalized until finally a Republican Mayoral candidate promised to get rid of them.

He was elected and he did.

He just got re-elected for a second term.

They're hanging tires filled with gasoline over these things in the UK and destroying them one-by-one.

These things won't survive, even in Chicago.

Thats almost 1 ticket per camera per minute the entire 45 days. Why I get the feeling the libtards are playing fast and loose with the numbers. Probably sending obamacare sign up applications with the tickets too /sarc

This is in the short term. In the long-term, as everybody figures out where the cameras are along their route, they will be able to avoid the fines most times.

"~violations that would have totaled $13.8 million in tickets,~"

It sounds like another government bean counter is trying to secure a job.

The fine goes to the owner of the vehicle, not necessarily the driver. Unconstitutional as can be but they don’t care about little details like that.

Anytime the government says they are doing something for safety reasons they really mean it’s for increased revenue and control.

Revenue is always the first and foremost reason and usually the only reason these cameras are ever deployed.

Typical idiot cop thinking. INstead of increasing revenue by encouraging the tempo of business we are going to crack down further on it. Speeding tickets should be used to help drivers who partake in the economy go home safer, but instead it is used to reduce emissions and harass business. Go figure. Good luck greedy stupid Chicago. Your cameras are a sign of distrust and neglect.

Emanuel speed cameras may bring in more revenue than expected

Well, c'mon, they aren't about safety, everyone knows!

This will give the po-lice more time to do what they do best-eating donuts and drinking coffee. And when they get tired of that, they will have plenty of time to go dog hunting.

Let me know when Rham puts up Mugging cameras, then
they can just bill the thugs by mail...

bye the bye, 50,000 violations per location divided
by 45 days is over a thousand a day at each location.
Seems like a lot of traffic to me, and that’s only
the speeders?

The city’s cut is probably pretty small. $15M in revenue is probably $5M to the city.

There you go—another great way to keep the economy going with recirculating debt! And more jobs will open up because of the commuters fired from their jobs for lack of personal cash for commuting. Things are looking up! ;-D
