Interesting incident. What was he doing wandering around Egypt? Was he doing some dirty deed for Obama?

Egypt inquiry into jail death of US man James Henry

In a statement, the prosecutor said Mr Henry had been carrying a map of Egypt and an advanced electronic device.

“Advanced electronic device? What.. “

I was deeply disappointed in DC’s Spy Museum. It contained tiny film cameras, recording devices and tiny maps printed on silk and hidden in buttons. There was nothing there my primitive flip phone couldn’t do better. Probably, he had the latest Apple iPhone.

The devise allegedly allowed the user to communicate with people in other locations.

Simplest explanations are usually the right ones. A life in the profession of arms, followed by a life of foreign adventure. Old habits die hard. Probably enjoying retirement, living as an expat. The local Sheriff probably stole or withheld his his heart meds, which is common in such countries. Ruled suicide. As for “possession of advanced electronic device,” some places I've been require a permit from the national government just to own a common film camera, and I saw a man shot to death by jittery local military just for taking a photograph. A cautionary tale for those considering the expat life outside the USA.

The Egyptian military may be against the ragheads.
That does NOT make them pro American.
As you’ve seen, even Kenyans, raised with a silver spoon and opportunity are ANTI AMERICAN.

The body of James Henry, 55, was found in a police cell in the Suez Canal city of Ismailia. Police said he committed suicide, the newswire reported. Mr Henry was arrested over about six weeks ago after he was stopped for violating a curfew on the road between El-Arish and Rafah in North Sinai. In August, The Egyptian Independent reported that he told officials he was a retired US Army officer who was on his way to the Gaza Strip as he was a "historical documentation enthusiast". Officials have now revealed that he arrived in Cairo from the Gulf kingdom of Bahrain on August 25. They said Henry was detained in the turbulent region of northern Sinai three days later. He was then flown to Ismailia and held in police custody pending charges. http://news.sky.com/story/1153948/american-found-hanged-in-egyptian-police-cell ...Egyptian officials told AFP that a US embassy delegation had visited Mr Henry in his cell last week. His death comes a day after he was told authorities were extending his preventative detention by a further 30 days... On Thursday, the US suspended millions in aid to Egypt's military until democratic progress is made. On Friday, two Canadians who had been held in an Egyptian jail after being detained while on their way to Gaza to make a film about Palestinian doctors, revealed they had been badly beaten in prison.

Lucky they didn’t charge him with sorcery.

All kidding aside, RIP Mr. Lunn.

Nothing you stated couldn’t happen right here. We are all on the plantation and it’s only lately that our overseers have started showing their hand right to our faces.

The reality is, there is a good chance he was up to no good. Not necessarily in the criminal sense, but in the ‘somebody else’s agenda’ sense.
