House Republicans were furious with Senate Republicans and President Obama on Saturday for trying to cut a debt ceiling deal that leaves them out in the cold.
Members emerged from a conference meeting saying Obama had double-crossed them by breaking off talks in order to shop for a better deal from the Senate GOP.
“Clearly the president can't be trusted,” said Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Ill.). “It is up to Senate Republicans to grow a backbone and stand with House Republicans like they said they were going to do.”

Of course, while the House Republicans didn’t like Susan Collins’ Senate surrender to Obama — they can take solace, that Obama wouldn’t even accept it, and is looking for an even better deal — unconditional surrender...

This is Kabuki on the part of GOP House leadership. They know damned well the Senate, GOP leadership there or not, coming up with a budget “deal” means frigging NOTHING if they HOUSE does not accede to it.
The House leadership is paving the way to blame their coming surrender on the Senate GOP. They are playing like they have no choice in a frigging vote.
We KNOW better BOEHNER! You’d better get your damned act together and stay the course. Keep the government shut down and forget about your barber shop, gym, special catered lattes, etc. You spineless son of a bitch!
The more the GOP gives them, the more Obama and the Dems want — and for some reason this comes as a surprise to the GOP, when all the rest of us, who aren’t even so close to the government could see this in flashing neon lights years ago.

Boehner never had any intention sticking to the obamacare defund/delay game plan.
As soon as Reid tabled the House bills the RNC and NRSC should have carpet bombed all the vulnerable Senate Dems. Instead McConnell took a powder and now we are where we are.
It seems the Boehner/Cantor plan was to surrender last week but the kenyan wouldn’t accepted it. LOL. I can’t say I feel sorry for the beltway GOP leadership now. They deserve every bit of scorn they are getting.

I think it is too much of a FUBAR cluster to be kabuki. The Dems are running circles around the beltway GOP right now.
Obama is using Clinton’s playbook from 1995. Senate Republicans are using Dole’s playbook from 1995, too. Go along with the firebrands in the House for a while, then tell the kids “enough is enough” in a condescending way, and cut a deal with the White House. Last time, Gingrich went along after Dole cut him off at the knees. This time, Boehner would like to do the same, but my hope is that his caucus won’t let him. People like Gohmert speaking out and throwing light on what is going on keeps them from caving. HOLD THE LINE.
I just read Republican elites saying that delaying Obamacare was never an option. That should have been the compromise, but Boehner negotiated with himself until he was past that and down to medical device taxes and Congressional staffers. Pathetic. Put the one year delay back on the table, and pass all the appropriations bills in regular order, and if the Dems won’t accept any of it, put defunding entirely back on the table, and if they won’t accept that, tough. Tell them we are happy to negotiate over Obamacare, and will meet you to discuss it, but here is the funding for the government, and you have 100 percent.
Obama is clearly in this for all the marbles. I hope the GOP in the senate has figured that out by now.

They are anything but real work and responsibility to the people that put them there. They rise in the ranks, get their seniority and they take their second-tier power willingly.
The only FUBAR related thing now is that fantastic group of 30-40 Congressman (young, pissed off Turks) where aren't there for the booty). Boehner can't get around them, but he can hit the airwaves with a “they (the Senate GOP) tied my hands, blah, blah blah)...
It is 100% Kabuki and they are playing it like a Stradivarius.
The Republicans in the House just have to remember that no deal can be done without them — just sit back and wait for them to come to them.
Democrats are communists in the Senate. And many of the Senate Republicans are communists also. Look up the definition of communists. They are hard core socialists

Republicans should just read back to Obama his own statement from 2006, when he was in the Senate:
In March 2006, then-Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., found the notion of raising the debt ceiling quite distasteful.
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” he said. “It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”
