panicking” about their food-stamp cards not working.
Maybe panicking enough to go out and get a job????
You know it is probably deliberate, because it worked for a week and a half through the shut down.
The only thing I would change in your statement, is thank you liberalism
I am sad and really angry at the same time.
Everything is upside down, when I was a kid my mom was dying (we did not know) and she had to go on welfare, the day it happened she wept. She was humiliated that she could not continue working.
My how things have changed.
not THAT panicked
I’ve often wondered why some on food stamps also have to go to other agencies during the month to get more food? Maybe you are right - they don’t plan their meals. How could they use up all their food stamps in just a few days? Don’t they stretch them out over the course of a month? Grocery stores hike the prices the first of the month for this very reason - then toward the middle or latter part of a month - prices come down on many items.
You said it.
