Most black areas in LA have been dominated by Hispanics.

I suspect that some dogs don’t like the food smells that are characteristic of some groups. Asian spices, Mexican chili spices, etc. might set off a dog.
My son’s K9, with a very sensitive nose, barks at some dogs (waging a tail sometimes, putting on a napkin at other times), while not barking at others.
However, my daughter’s late mixed Cocker Spaniel/collie, etc once growled so fiercely at a drunk Hispanic who stopped walking in front of my house and looked at my granddaughter in a very threatening way.
The dog, Chico, nearly pulled me off my feet, but I was able to restrain him from attacking this guy, while telling my granddaughter to get inside and also yelling to my cop son, get your badge and gun.
The drunk finally staggered down the street to a private home, but we still had the police pay him a visit, esp. after hearing he “eyed” my granddaughter.
A couple months later, he “totalled” a new Mercedes by hitting another parked car a few houses down. We never saw him again, after his jail stay.
Sometimes dogs sense something is wrong with a person long before humans can, which is why they are called K9’s, and not Feefie.
It’s amazing how LA County has changed. There used to be well defined white/black/hispanic and Asian areas.
Whites have been pushed west and north, Asians have swelled and are moving east. Hispanics have mushroomed into almost every area in huge numbers, blacks are being dispersed and pushed out.

Bummer daze.
I had a dog that was racist. He had no problems with blacks but he hated Mexicans. Since he was a 150 lb Great Dane and our mailman was Mexican-American, that created problems.
I agree with the dogs.
