Apparently when they bring the remains in they may not know who it is or even if it is actually the remains of an American.
If after the remains are identified they have a ceremony that a fallen American has been brought home, I don’t really have a problem.
They could hold the ceremony taking the remains from the lab to somewhere else. They don’t need the prop C-17 or to pretend that the servicemember “just arrived” if they’ve had to bring them into the lab to do the DNA analysis and ID them.
I have no issue with them holding a ceremony to honor a fallen American being identified. I do have an issue with them doing this stupid Kabuki theater of putting them on the bus, sneaking them over to a non-functional C-17, then acting like they “just arrived” when they’ve been at JPAC for a while being identified. Why lie? Honor those whose remains have been positively identified, you don’t need a plane to do that.
