This reminds me of the episode of Oz, where Wolfgang met his end.
I must confess, I like the idea of the guy offing himself because he couldn’t bear being caged like his victims a whole lot more than the guy offing himself accidentally getting his sick jollies one last time.
Still, dead is dead. The state doesn’t have to spend one more penny looking after him. And Castro’s victims know for sure that he can never hurt them, or anyone else, ever again.
Either way, he’s just as dead.

Who believes this? Pants around the ankles, slow ambulance... I think this was death by punga, at the hands of others, that he richly deserved. I hope he experienced a smidge of what he gave out.
