LOL.... I have likely met the same rangers. Most of them are not very bright.
Case in point. There’s a national forest behind my folk’s property. Dogs and guns allowed. But then in the middle of that national forest is a national park! No dogs, no guns. Long story short, I’ve hiked maybe ten miles into the national forest and there’s this geek park ranger with his Smokey the Bear hat on. He stops me and writes me a $50 ticket because of the dog. Had he known I was carrying .... (dad’s 1911A1 Springfield .45ACP) he would have s*** bricks. And to top it all off he tried hitting on me. Have to admit the guy had guts but WTF, a park in the middle of a national forest? These guys think a park is a couple of acres and this forest is a couple of hundred square miles. Guy said he lived in Seattle and just comes out on weekends. Figgers - Liberalville.
