We’re on the same page.
I’m not professing to be the Catholic / Christian model of excellence either. I’m a work in progress, and fall miserably short every day. I have multiple conflicts of faith, belief, etc., with things.
But - willful termination of an infant’s life is, and always will be murder to me. And I have ZERO in common with anyone who sees that it’s somehow OK. Yeah - it IS a “choice”; a choice to murder or not to, and that’s the only agreement I have with them.
And it seems to me if folks are going to “talk the talk”, then they need to walk the walk as well.
My problem with the Church is that it’s not - and never has been - addressed from the Pulpit during election time.
Don’t want to hear about “tax exemption status” blah blah, either; you either believe it and lead, or you stand by and let it bleed.
If I remember my history correctly - and I do - the “Black Robe Brigades” were some of the LOUDEST proponents of Liberty and independence from the British Empire. They certainly didn’t worry about tax exemption status.
