And the threats are very explicit. And so they toe the line. And that's part of why we've seen a breakdown of just normal routine business done here in Washington on behalf of the American people.

And all of you know it. I mean, I'm not telling you anything you don't know because it's very explicit. You report on it. A big chunk of the Republican Party right now is -- are in gerrymandered districts where there's no competition and those folks are much more worried about a tea party challenger than they are about a general election where they've got to complete against a Democrat or go after independent votes. And in that environment, it's a lot harder for them to compromise.......

Here's the problem as I see it

1. We do not have a person negotiating with a bank on an existing mortgage payment. We have someone who has spend too much on their credit card and the credit card company is threating to cut them off! The credit card holder cannot stop spending, advise when they will payoff the balance, nor create a budget for professionals to review and help solve the problem.

2.and Harry Reid is acting like he can't be out of money because he still has checks. Harry you are overdrawn and going to the bank for more checks is not the solution. The solution is to get your spending under control by creating a budget!

Some time ago, there was a video made by a traveler who went to North Korea to take a tour provided by their government.

That video showed how restricted and controlled the ‘tour’ was and it resembles what our own present government is doing during this partial shutdown.

We have been given the opportunity to witness, in our country, what exactly a repressive, controlled and restricted society we have become.

Are there any accurate articles that explain what will realistically what will happen if we miss the debt ceiling and end up going into “default” so to speak? Most sources I have tried to find are naturally flooded with hardleftist, pure chicken little hysteria. Is there any place where we can find truly accurate, unbiased, undistorted info in it? Has someone who is not hopelessly biased towards Obama written about it?
