'All about power and leverage' -- feds shut down major roadway, block access to graveyard (TN)

Folks who live in the Great Smoky Mountains have just about reached their breaking point with the federal government.

“It’s almost like they are pushing to see how far they can push before the American people say enough is enough,” said Ed Mitchell, the mayor of Blount County, Tenn. “We were founded on a declaration of independence. And they are about to push the people to the line again.”

Nearly a third of Blount County is inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So when the federal government shut down the park, it also shut down one of the area’s chief sources of revenue.

The National Park Service also closed the Foothills Parkway, a major thoroughfare in the county. The closure came without warning and left the local school district scrambling to get children back to their homes.

(snip)

Even more insulting is the National Park Service won’t allow family members to visit old grave sites.

“Some of them have family members buried there,” the mayor said. “And they go and visit every week at the churches still in the cove. They are not able to do that.”

It’s gotten to the point where Mayor Mitchell said Americans are ready to start fighting back. “It’s almost like they are pushing to see how far they can push before the American people say enough is enough,” he said.

No. No mass civil disobedience. Why give them what they want? They’ve been pushing this for a while.

NO. Not yet.

Have always said that when it does hit the fan and Americans go at each other again ... it will all depend on where a majority of our Military people stand and whom our Military people stand with; the People or the elites.

How come Obama & Biden haven’t been kicked out of their ‘Federally owned properties”???

The citizens of this country have a lot of guns, but they are not organized, and local uprisings will be crushed by overwhelming force — armored vehicles, machine guns, armed drones and helicopters.

Don't be so sure.

There are millions of us who know what's at stake, and that in the great scheme of things, giving our lives to advance freedom even a millimeter is worth the sacrifice.

The guys in all armored vehicles aren't as clever, or as determined as we are. We are fighting for our homes, our families, our children, our grandchildren. In short, we are fighting against them, and for America.

I'm with us, the Teaparty, and we will beat the shit out of them.

ARMED NSF rangers with ARMED U S Marshals raided a camp with horse endurance riders at midnight in the Talledega National Forest over the weekend.

Permits for the horse event were issued & paid for months ago.

They ordered every horse, rider, truck & trailer to be packed up & removed-—at MIDNIGHT!!!

IMO, they are lucky someone didn’t shoot them.

What these rangers don’t realize is that they also live in our neighborhoods. Sooner of later, they will become pariahs of their own making.

Obama will be gone one day, but their neighbors will continue to remember their actions.

If Ike used the military, do not think for a minute that the Regime would hesitate to do so.

Look where it got Faubus.

All the more reason to identify each of these Obama foot soldiers. Take their pictures, post their names, make them think about what they are doing.

I wonder how many of those ‘rangers’ are intelligent enough to realize that the patient man generally gets the last laugh.

No way they have the power to crush any uprising.

History has shown that organized revolts can be crushed. Guerrilla tactics are much more effective historically.

the federal employees who are doing this need to be named and shamed.

At least in Saddam's regime, they had the decency of covering their faces when they they tormented their neighbors and friends.

To: who knows what evil?

You nailed it! The two biggest loudmouth race pimps are just as quiet as churchmice in the gunning down of an unarmed black woman by this regime.

Thanks for the reminder!

can you say Marshall Law?

Yeah, but I can also say Martial law which is what you really mean. Sorry, I am picky that way. Marshall is a civilian law enforcement officer, Martial means military force.

Too bad the FEDs have to drive on county roads to get to the park. I wonder what would happen if those county roads were closed to federal agents?

This is what will inevitably happen. This is why all the ammo was purchased, the NDAA was passed and why the very underreported standoff between the DHS/TSA and Texas took place. I believe that certain powers in Washington, rightly or wrongly, anticipate a secession movement. I think Obama fantasizes about sending federal troops into a state that has the backbone to finally say 'Enough!'

I think this is beyond scoring political points. Well beyond, and very dangerous.

I think “Rebel Mountain Honkies” would be more appropriate as at the present time they aren’t confederated with anyone. The mountain people were mostly union I believe while their Middle Tennessee cousins were CSA.

Sevier County had a Mountain Rebel General :>} My wife's GG Uncle LOL. He was at the Battle of Murfreesboro.

Nonviolent rebellion works with a Christian culture. It isn’t successful against an antichristian culture. They merely perceive it as weakness and like pearls before swine will likely become enraged to commit atrocities with impunity.
