Daily Star Sunday ^ | Oct 4, 2013

Posted on 10/05/2013 9:29:11 PM PDT by Vince Ferrer

The musician-turned-activist reckons the world will end in 2030 - leading to the extinction of humankind.

Sir Bob, 61, based his miserable prediction on the effects of climate change.

“The world can decide in a fit of madness to kill itself," he told a group of youngsters at a summit in Johannesburg, South Africa.

“We may not get to 2030. We need to address the problem of climate change urgently” Sir Bob Geldof The former Boomtown Rats singer also warned "the next war will not be a World War One or a World War Two, it will be the end."

He added: "We may not get to 2030. We need to address the problem of climate change urgently."

Sir Bob is best-known for his attempts in helping to fight famine in Africa, staging Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in 1985.

He finished his speech by apologising for being "bloody miserable", but added: "just get on with it".

I doubt I’ll be alive in 2030.

I don’t know about global warming, but does this count as climate change? ;-)

So out there they are freezing and digging, and in the mid-Atlantic we are enjoying record heat and a bit of drought. Such is life. Maybe we will have another snowmageddon winter since this summer was unusually pleasant hereabouts.

Maybe so if Geldof keeps dyeing his hair.

Hair dye chemicals are so toxic that pregnant women aren’t allowed to use it.

Thanks Bob!

Wow. READ THE COMMENTS AT THE SITE. They sound like FReepers.

I think Democrats and leftists have cheated a whole helluva lot more than people think. No wonder -- people are disgusted with the whole "liberal" climate change charade. Reading the comments gives you an eye into what the MSM doesn't report about America and Americans.

We’ll all die of boredom if this fool keeps babbling his bullshit.

But then, again, “He’s British”.

Hey Bob: Here’s my version of “To SIR with Love”:

“Go fuck yourself, British style, SIR!”

You all love the Queen so much, you’ve become a country of “QUEENS”.

Instead of singing the old children’s song, “Ring around the rosey, a pocket full of posies”, you’re now singing “Ring Around the Rosey, a country full of pansies!”

The British lion is now a castrated, defanged, fop.

Long Live the Queen, Elton John!

I know a woman who loves John Lennon. She’s beyond stupid and a real Useful Idiot.

LOL lp! I've liked John Lennon and The Beatles since 1980 when Lennon was murdered. I was 12 then and I've liked Bono and U2 since I was 15/16. To me they are both very talented people and their music has brought me so much pleasure over the years.

But they were/are both very opinionated and full of themselves and I just have to forget about all that. I don't know how true this is, but I did read an article within the last couple of years that Lennon may have been coming around and actually liked Reagan. Who knows if he hadn't been murdered how he would have ended up? But still don't know what he saw in Yoko! He sure did love her that's for sure. Have to give him that.

Working class hero? John Lennon 'was closet conservative and fan of Reagan'

Oh, I don't know. I'm hoping by that time he's gone back to live with his father Beelzebub.

Bob will probably be dead by 2030, so from his perspective - mankind as he knows it (himself) will be dead.

He should be thinking about where he is going to spend eternity, rather than the latest leftist hobgoblins and bugbears. They aren't real, but eternity is for ever.

I’ve outlasted all the date-setting dooms-sayers so far...

What is really funny is that one day, they will be right....but nobody is going to be around to congratulate them!!!!! Ha!

He is right about one thing:
He states the next war will not be WW1 or WW2.
Can’t get anything by him.

After his speech, did he pedal off on his bycicle to live in his mud hut where he fed sick and dying minorities and homeless people? Nah, he flew off in his G4 to one of his his homes in Monaco to inspect his remodeled teak decked luxury yacht.

Heraclitus was the forerunner of climate change, only he had the broader, educated view. He explained that everything changes and is in flux and that one does not step in the same river twice. Today’s Leftists really are not deep river thinkers.
