Just before the weekend, the National Park Service informed charter boat captains in Florida that the Florida Bay was "closed" due to the shutdown. Until government funding is restored, the fishing boats are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean. Fishing is also prohibited at Biscayne National Park during the shutdown.
The Park Service will also have rangers on duty to police the ban. Of access to an ocean. The government will probably use more personnel and spend more resources to attempt to close the ocean, than it would in its normal course of business.

Actual the “Federal” reserve bank of Dallas, like all FRBs, are not government operations. It is a private bank. They even publish annual reports, like any other company.

These guys come from the ends of the earth to fish here. Many stay in hotels, eat at restaurants, their wives spend in the local shops, they hire guides and go fishing. But, it all starts with the ability to go fishing. Take that away and you pretty much kill a portion of the economy. We still have the offshore but its not as good as the back this time of year.
Now we have tarpon, snook,trout, redfish, bonefish and other species all moving into the bay as water temps fall and the annual bait migration moves south. It's a great time to fish here. The oceanside has not quite kicked off yet. It will in 6 weeks but not quite yet.
