5. Now the good news. Lets assume I am eligible for some subsidies. To receive those subsidies I will only have to wait until I file my federal or state income tax during the first three months of 2015. I think you are allowed to estimate your pay and therefore subsidy each month because one of the warnings was that if your pay increased during the year (and therefore subsidy dropped) you would be expected to repay the difference with your taxes.

The 2014 tax season is going to be awful. 2013 wasn’t fun with delayed forms, software glitches by the IRS, and estimating Obamacare “taxes” and “subsidies”.
