Israel to run for U.N. Security Council seat for 2019-20

Israel said on Thursday it plans to run for a rotating seat on the U.N. Security Council for the time ever for 2019-2020, although U.N. diplomats said it will not be easy for the Jewish state to win.

“We’re going all out to win,” Israel's U.N. Ambassador Ron Prosor told Reuters. “It’s about time.” …

Prosor said Israel will be vying against Germany and Belgium for two seats allotted to the “Western European and Others Group.” Technically, Israel should be a member of the Asia-Pacific Group along with the other states in the Middle East, but predominantly Muslim states blocked its admission to that group.

My feeling is that Israel had better be putting most of their planning on surviving alone in this world. It is looking more and more each day, week, month with our current Muslim-in-Chief he doesn’t give a rat’s patootie about her. And, without some sort of genuinely friendly backup from the US, a UN SC position wouldn’t mean squat.

BeBe had better be planning right now which targets he’s gonna finger for the final countdown.
