He told police that she was suffering from post-partum depression, was having trouble sleeping and was on medication. Carey underwent a mental health evaluation, said the source, who added that the boyfriend has been questioned by federal authorities about Thursday’s events.
The source told CNN that Carey left a letter addressed to the boyfriend at her apartment and that it appeared to contain white powder. The letter was being tested for hazardous substances.”

Yeah, she told the boyfriend it was post-partum *depression* but it was probably more like post-partum *psychosis* or worse.

It is possible he was lying. I have a hard time believing that this guy would make a police report because he feared for his child but did not contact CPS. Did he seek to change their custody arrangements? Did he follow up with anyone when no action was taken as a result of his report? No effort to seek that Carey be held involuntarily because she was a danger to herself or others?
I don’t buy the schizophrenia story, too many answers still needed.
No matter what, in the video I saw there were 5 cops and the car had 4 tires....Why not flatten tires vs kill the poor woman.

I’ll buy the theory that she was tired of keeping her baby daddy under wraps and wanted to expose him. Probably someone in the Capitol who skipped out on his payments!
