Can anyone find pictures of the DC cruiser which was sandwiched in half? Peter Doocy on Fox was reporting from about 30 feet away, and I cannot find it anywhere. Almost as though it has been scrubbed.
“Be honest”
Honestly, your scenario is a little far fetched for me.
The most likely scenario is usually the correct one. That would be a woman who is somewhat unstable (maybe) or got caught up in all the new barricades and then scared to death when surrounded by cops (likely) just tried to take off. I guess death is the new sentence for that crime.
If she had driven through a crowd of people, how many people would be saying “Why didn’t they stop her? Why do they carry guns if they aren’t going to use them?”?
That's already being pushed on this thread.
Yes, because there are terrorists everywhere! Cars are blowing up daily on the streets all around the country! Oh, the Huge Manatee!
Every cop involved should be tested for steroid abuse..
Exactly right.
Apparently everyone is overlooking the FACT the airwaves and the internet has been full of left wingers advocating killing those “evil right wingers” for shutting down the govt. and wanting your baby to die.
Looks like they shot her for Littering.
Maybe you’re not smart enough to know it, wouldn’t surprise me, but the last time the dems went into a full scale attack against the TEA Party and claimed they were terrorist, there was a car bomb attempt in NYC they tried to blame on the TEA Party.
Get real. We're tired of your alarmist crap against insanely low-probability risks. If you want be a bootlicker, you'll find there is less support here for that position here than you might have seen in the past.
Thanks for the vid link.
I looked at those barriers closely when I was on vacation in DC. They are extremely robust, and likely could stop a large truck (which was probably the design critera). No surprise they shredded a Crown Vic.
But she didn’t drive through a crowd of people!
I am on the hazmat team in our department so we drill more than anyone else on the department with the bomb squad. We had an expert from Israel teach us a class and spend a few days with with us at the fire station.
Anything is possible, however our instructor from Israel... where they have bombings frequently was a very common sense kind of guy. I am fairly certain that he and his buddies would be poking fun at those here who are making the argument here that the police were justified in shooting a panicked woman because she might have had explosives in her car.
It is obvious to most people who watch the videos associated with this event that the woman was trying to get away... If she was a terrorist there most likely would have been some type of plan involving the element of surprise. Nothing in this event seems consistent with someone making an attempt to blow up there car. If the people protecting our capitol can't make the distinction then I would suggest that their training and/or mindset needs to be improved.
My wife and I read this morning that the young lady was shot so many times that it was difficult to identify her body. When I watch the videos I see panicked officers acting like a pack of dogs. It appears to me that the command structure broke down and resulted in the death of a hysterical woman who most likely had no intent to harm anyone. If this happened in Afganistan where our troops really are at risk... our news media would be all over this asking why our troops violated Obama's Rules of Engagement and gunned down an innocent civilian.
The Obama adm took your position before the Boston bombing.
Now aren’t you happy.
Check around the world and find out how many car bombs have gone off in the last 4 years, then get back to me.
That's normal In DC. When there are democRats around, there's always lots of litter on the ground.
I feel bad for you to live your life in a complete state of paranoia.
1. Do the police now get to define everyone as a terrorist? to the best of my knowledge, every other law enforcement agency in the area has very strict guidelines regarding high speed chases, and those guideliens do not include spraying the public with gun fire.
2. The video shows her brushing the barricade, but not “ramming it”. The car’s grill does not show evidence of “ramming”. She did, however, piss off the uniformed secret Service officers and Capitol Police. You know - the guys who have blocked access to “their” parking lots and other asphalt in the D.C. area, in addition to national monuments. I know about that one from personal experience, not a news report.
3. Her family says she was mentally disturbed due to post-partum depression, and thought the president was persecuting her.
They fired 8 or so times and she still drove away.
God help us.
My first thought in all this was very simple.
If a Mentally confused Woman driving her car in a panicked state can cause the entire Capitol Police Force and some Secret Service Agents to come off looking like the Keystone Cops, what would an organized Terror Attack accomplish?
From the looks of things, real Terrorists would have had a field day.
Remember Boston, thousands of Cops, Fourth Amendment Rights shredded and they were hunting down a punk Kid. The City cowered, a bastion of pussies afraid of their own shadows while letting the “Authorities” take complete control of their lives.
Sadly, this is the State of our Society. Remember, we’re the crazy ones.
Whatever it takes to protect the King.
The barackade the Capitol Hill police car hit is not your typical barackade. It’s a device that is launched and rises instantly in the roadway surrounding the Capitol. It’s not some saw horse kind of barackade, such as the perp purportedly hit. The Capitol is an armed fortress, not really visible as such to the uninitiated.
Spraying the public with gun fire?
You lost what little credibility you had right there.
