Rep. Tim Huelskamp says that none of his fellow Kansans have been able to enroll in Obamacare due to widespread glitches and technical malfunctions.
My office recently spoke with one of the insurers in Kansas who told us that not one, not one, of the 365,000 uninsured Kansans successfully signed up for insurance on the Obamacare exchanges the first day, Huelskamp, who himself tried and failed to enroll in the program on Tuesday, said on the House floor.
Huelskamp described his struggles with the online system, and said he had still been on hold with the system for 60 hours.
Obamacare meets extra resistance in Oklahoma - Actually they sound pretty smart! It's the navigators who are challenged. (well worth a read).
I’ve been a city boy all my life but I know one thing for damn sure. Don’t EVER think rural ‘’country’’ folk are dumb. It will be your undoing and sometimes painfully so.
I’m a bit foul this morning, but what? If I moved to Kansas next week, how in the hell would they know if I were insured or not? Where do they get these figures? Pulling rabbits out of hats if you ask me.
Kansas. Oklahoma. Texas. — To the ruling Leftist elites, were all clodhoppers in fly-over country - too stupid to know, so we must be controlled.
LOL!
Why isn’t it up and running smoothly? It should be flawless. This is people’s HEALTHCARE we are talking about!
Sorry, but we in the private healthcare industry would see our heads roll over something like this. We would be sued, no doubt, fired, whipped, tarred and feathered.
Why? Because we are held accountable!!
That’s right!
Son called last night. A friend of his signed up for the “Affordable Care” only to find out that their ‘free’ healthcare is going to be $500 a month and the deductible will be $13,000!!
Ive been doing some shopping myself. I almost wept when I saw my premium (now at 422/mo)would go anywhere from 600/mo to 1000/mo. Lousy coverage (much less than what I have, even the most expensive). I have to pay for maternity and pediatric vision and dental. What the heck? I am a 62 year old female. Oh, and I cant keep my doctor.
Don’t mess with Kansas!
-——Why isnt it up and running smoothly?———
Because the president has failed to provide the leadership necessary to make his ad hoc rag tag government function. Rather than people who can lead, his government is administered and run by people who know only how to follow.
If Obama were CEO of Ford or Walmart, he would be fired
The Obama failure should become the Republican mantra.
No more money to be squandered by an incompetent dunce
Racist? Are all black people incompetent dunces?
Of course not
Right now Thomas “What’s The Matter With Kansas?” Frank is highly upset. “What’s wrong with these Kansans?” Frank is saying to himself over sucking in smoke from the bong.
Great image. It summarizes the first three days of Obamacare better than any words could do.
But I’ll try anyway.
Zero enrollments in many, many states the first day. Ditto for many the second day. A trickle at best for the first three days.
A disaster.
I hope you have emailed or called your Senators and Representative. Even if they are GOP and didn’t vote for the bill, they need to have it on record that their constituents are being adversely affected. It gives them ammo and justification for standing against it.
We have a good healthcare plan where I work and they have decided to keep it. Several of my co-workers, who were contemplating retirement soon, have changed their minds after reading your post.
I’m hoping that this thing is such a failure that the dems have no choice but to ditch it. Oh, and check out the contact number for the “Affordable Care Act”: 1-800-318-2596. If you drop the 1, see what it spells? 1-800-F1#KYO Says it all, doesn’t it!
