What this article should really say is:

"West Point Effected by Shutdown. Cadets and Staff Deal With It."

Shutdown forces [insert agency] to [slack off more than usual] and [lie about it more than usual].

There, that should cover it.

Any military member who expresses other than complete contempt for the Obamadork should be court martialed immediately. Really, these types of folks are dangerous...and those like them once worked for a certain German leader.

(Nope, not suggesting they disobey orders. They can still salute the dork, but in their minds, the salute consists of an extended finger.)

And ANY general that actually agrees with that piece of excrement should be immediately kicked out.

Absolutely, positively not kidding.

May I change “...who expresses other than complete contempt ...” to “who privately expresses other than compete contempt”.

The military remains our most honorable government institution. Hopefully, the time will not come when they are thinking seriously about those military lectures they got in training concerning obeying “unlawful” orders.

They already clean their quarters and common areas. At West Point it is still much like an Army post...so this means Commissary staff...MWR staff...mess and dining facilities....and other svcs done by civilians and govt contractors...will be on furlough

Now, why on earth would the Commander in Chief want to make himself the laughingstock of West Pointers? The more Obama tries to punish the nation, the funnier it gets.

The CR the house and senate passed did allow for the payment of any civilians that were supporting in any way any active duty military. That would seem to include civilian teachers, since their replacements are active military and therefore the civilian teachers were clearly “supporting” the active duty.

Obama has purposely chosen to ignore this CR and kick people out that he could be paying. Just like he locked up things that did not need to be locked up.

The local talk radio I listen to here in DC had a person on from the Naval Academy who stated that beginning next week they are going to have to start dropping some classes because there are no military instructors to cover the subjects that the Dept of Navy civilians teach.

H’mm will that give the middies time to practice navel maneuvers?

Wait, so you’re saying that instead of practicing drill and ceremony and dysfunctional B.S. that the Washingtonian-type brass favors, our Cadets and Midshipmen at our military academies will now be able to actually practice things that favor technical skills and enhance their effectiveness combat instead of appearance?!
