Certain liberals are calling the Republican’s use of negotiation “extortion”.

this is a straight forward strategy to me.

We are not following our constitution. The House allocates money. They did their job. The Senate decided to change the bill. This is wrong.

I say let the gov’t shut down, let the whole damn thing go down until they get this right.

The anarchists, the terrorists, the arsonists are the democrats and the WH.

Republoicans must stick together all of them.

Obamacare was the MOST PARTISAN and STATIST piece of legislation in GENERATIONS (and that is saying something) that was rammed down the throat of the American people WITHOUT a SINGLE vote of support from the opposition party.

It was passed on Christmas Eve by the senate and skirted several procedural rules.

The democrat majority leader of the house even told us we would have to “pass the bill in order to see what is in it”

Now the democrats expect the republicans to stand at attention, salute and follow this “law” without any opposition or fight.

Life doesn’t work that way. You want to play these games? Then let’s play. Republicans control the house and the purse strings of the republican and the obama the “uniter” can whine all he wants.

Actually - obama showed us the third way.

Don’t like a law - don’t follow it and ignore it.

DOMA
Immigration Laws
Gun Laws
Gay Marriage
etc.

The longer this drags on - the worse it is going to be for the democrats (and they know it). The sun will still shine. People will still live their lives.

Pretty soon it becomes apparent that life does not need a huge government. That maybe we can CUT government afterall.

And just wait until 100’s of “WWII vets storming the memorial” events happen and people just ignore obama’s silly rules.

How much of the Dem Senate-led shutdown was due to actual Senate votes, versus the Dem leaders simply sending the House bill back to the House?

It can't be said any clearer than that.

This should be read from the floor of the house and the senate, it should be in all of the newspapers and radio and television news programs.

That's if the object of the politicians and news media was to inform the electorate.

The Stamp Act was the law of the land. The whole American Revolution was obviously a mistake.

Sowell makes it easy to understand and identifies the real cuplrits in this fiasco.

One thing I don’t understand, though, is why the Republicans continue to let the Demedia control how Republicans are portrayed.

Obama and his cronies continually beat the drum that a faction of one party in one house is behind the shut-down. And that we’re all “held hostage,” blah-blah-blah. He makes it sound like a tiny group is controlling things.

Actually, it’s Obama and the Senate Dems (and their useful tools among the RINOs) that are the small minority (controlling the Senate and the Oval Office) that are blocking the will of the majority (the House Republicans and the constituents all across the country that they represent).

There are more elected representatives that were put into office by a majority that wants to be rid of Omabacare than the minority that want to keep the boondoggle alive. The Republican majority in the house was duly elected and have the right, under the Constitution, to decide which agencies and programs are funded (or not).

Why aren’t Boehner and McConnell laying out the facts???

Pointed this out to one of dear leader’s useful idiots and, big surprise, he dismissed Sowell as a “political hack”, never mind what he says is verifiable in any bloody news website.

And people wonder why I refer to Obama as dear leader. What else is he to some people when they’re willing to completely ignore reality to say he’s right?
