OAKLAND -- A group of people working at a Habitat for Humanity construction site in East Oakland that former President Jimmy Carter will visit next week were robbed at gunpoint, police said.

The incident happened at the site of a 12-home development at 9507 Edes Ave. about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday. Habitat for Humanity staff members and AmeriCorps workers were accosted by four men who robbed them of cell phones, wallets and tools, police said.

One of the robbers fired a shot into the air and pistol-whipped a man, who declined medical attention, authorities said.

Definition of a conservative is a liberal that has been mugged. Hopefully these Habitat for Humanity libtards will be attending the next local Tea Party meeting. I can only hope that Carter gets rolled while visiting the site.

Quit with the “Habitat” BS and wise up!! These people do NOT want your discount housing unless it is f-r-e-e! Even then, expect to get robbed, raped or beaten. It’s just the way it is.

I’m sure Jimmuh will blame the workers for being white and privileged.

Yet another mass assault with a weapon. Something tells me that more gun control is needed in kali after this incident. Or they “fount” out that jimmah will be there next week and knew they couldn’t rob the place with mr. peanut there.

These leaches decided they didn’t want to wait for the gummint to take your money and give it to them, so they just took out the middleman. Same end result, except someone ended up with an instant headache.

On the local TV news last night, an Oakland resident who was robbed by a robber at his house called 911 for the police. They showed up an hour later. When he complained, the cops mentioned he was 750th on a list of callers. Another reason to stay away from Oakland.

Oh, man, the irony..!

I had a friend who worked for H4H, and primarily what she did was put on activities and lectures for ghetto kids getting fostered for their imprisoned parents.

She said they’d show up; sometimes the stuff had food or resources to transfer to the kids, and sometimes their support was just an activity and talk “without stuff”.

She said the minute they determined it was a day they wouldn’t get STUFF, well, they would call their friends saying not to come, and then they’d LEAVE.

They were very, very finely attuned to GETTING STUFF.

She said that’s all they wanted, and this girl was a liberal with huge boobs, so that’s why I knew her.

Friends of mine live in Orinda; which is east about 15 -20 miles.
A world away; good schools; nice neighborhoods.

The latest thing happening however; are armed, organized groups of home invaders coming from Oakland out into these nice areas.
This was unheard of just a handful of years ago.

Oh the advantages expanded public transportation service areas bring to the surrounding communities.

Don’t worry. All that redistributed wealth will go directly back into the economy for everyone’s benefit. Even Pelosi says that every dollar stolen from our unborn great grandchildren and given to the “poor” generates $1.70 in economic activity.

Maybe the public could help locate the perps - oh, wait we don't know anything.

Height, weight, age, color...

” expanded public transportation service areas bring to the surrounding communities.”

I don’t think these guys are using BART. They are almost of a paramilitary flavor it sounds. They know exactly how long the alarms take and the response times of the police.
Scary stuff in my opinion.

Even if the homeowners own weapons; these guys come in so fast there isn’t time to get to weapon for self defense.
