A series of leaked emails from House Speaker John Boehner’s chief of staff, Mike Sommers, show that the Speaker may have coordinated with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) to exempt Congress from Obamacare.
The emails were leaked Tuesday by David Krone, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s chief of staff, who actually has a history of this sort of thing.
The leaks, which are a major taboo in Washington, show Rep. Boehner (R-Ohio) worked behind the scenes earlier this year to address confusion over a provision in the Affordable Care Act that would force members of Congress and their aides into the exchanges. In fact, if one were to go by the leaks, which were first given to Politico, it appears that the offices of Boehner and Reid regularly coordinated to exempt Congress from the health care law.
But given that the Speaker is now apparently against congressional Obamacare exemptions, the emails make him look inconsistent and hypocritical – which may have been the point of their leaking.

No one on FR had any trust or respect for Boehner in the first place.
But this was just a shot across the bow.
The REAL stuff they have on Boehner - the stuff they’ve been using for years now - will start coming out in a couple of days as the Democrats work to get him to cave.

The idea is not to elect good men. Electing good men is impossible, because the scoundrel will always put on a good face. The idea is to force bad men to do the right thing.
Recently heard that the DNC was low on funds. Kinda expected this little ‘shut down’ to get the dumb masses to donate. Seems the two parties coordinate these events.
I believe it to be so.

Anyone who read what the founders were trying to create and/or anyone who understands Lord Acton’s statement: “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely” would not be surprised one iota by this revelation.
We have been sold out by both parties. Yes the dems were left leaning but the progressives, by stealth, until the early 2000s have completely assimilated that party for the CPUSA and those very same progressives are currently assimilating the GOP which is why we are so at odds with them.
The experiment in self rule failed. Not because the premise was faulty but because We The People became very lazy and even conservatives have been seduced by the lure of government largess.
The only thing different between today and our founding is the government is not shooting at us..... oh wait, they have been for some time.... oops.
While his actions were reprehensible, a look/review at what drove Tim McVeigh around the bend might be beneficial to us all. The fiction of the Turner Diaries written in 1978 is almost a total reality in 2013.
When Obama took his action allowing Congress to continue receiving federal subsidies in the amount under the FEHBP even though they had to use the Obamacare exchanges, there was little outcry from the Reps. The fix was in even though Obama’s directive to OPM was illegal.
