HA!
The vets apparantly found a loophole in the shutdown rules. Per the WTOP feed, people can’t be denied access to public open space if they’re engaging in 1st Amendment activities.
Tanknetter, you have NO idea how happy I was to read your post that the NPS guys stood tall - and ACTED LIKE AMERICAN MEN - in doing what they did.
Again, I thank you for posting it and bringing it peoples’ attention here.
The “goon” terminology is just a natural reaction among free people to efforts like this; people are quick to react because the outrages just keep coming.
Please keep reinforcing who is helping OUR people, and who isn’t.
Yeah, the law’s a bitch when it ain’t working for the other side, ain’t it... Haha!!
Excellent...
I just got done reading the three dozen pages of shutdown regulations which I've been given by a furloughed federal employee. I may have missed this, or it may be in another document. I don't doubt what you're saying at all but I'd love to get a “chapter and verse” reference.
It would also be helpful in responding to some Freepers who may not understand the legalities here. The other side is really good at manipulating fine print of regulations; we need to get just as good if we're going to win this thing.
